Weird beeping from the rear

This has just started recently, just after starting the car there is a faint beeping from the passenger side rear somewhere. Its like 3 or 4 faint beeps (its not the parking sensor noise). I am guessing it must be coming from that speaker but I have no idea what it means or why it has just started. Anyone else had similar? Or any ideas?

It's the Tracker. It will beep when you start the car.
Ive never subscribed to it.. and not sure why it would start beeping now? I wonder if the battery is low (or is it connected to the car supply?)

The Tracker is fitted as standard, and it will beep irrespective of your subscription. I thought from new I had three years subscription from Maserati, which wasn't the case. I assumed the beeping was the Tracker confirming all was ok. The subscription and service is now run by Vodafone Automotive. I don't have there number to hand, but you can find it from Google.
They will be able to explain the beeping and how the whole system works, and it's actually very sophisticated including if the device is triggered a phone call to the owner, and remote vehicle immobilisation with Police permission to the Vodafone people. All this comes at a price though, I just had to renew my membership - over £300 for twelve months!!
Just to confirm we are talking about the same thing, it's sounds like three faint beeps from the back of the car...

Yes that's correct (the beeps). I have exactly the same system on my Cali T and I do use it for that. Its great. Got a call from them when they took it away on a low loader for a warning light issue even though the driver had the transponder (they explained it was moving with the ignition off!)
I have never had it "active" on the Maser and am not overly bothered by it now.. Will monitor and see if it stops, if not might call them. Thanks Keith

Don't get me wrong but aren't trackers supposed to lower your insurance premium? I don't think that they are worth the money if my insurance is around £400 fully comp especially if you pay £300 for the subscription.

Last time I checked it was about £300 and it would have put my premium up....

I think it's more about 'I really don't want to lose my car'

Mine have always been higher with them. Makes absolutely no sense and plays in to the thieving scumbags hands.

That was always my thoughts with the Maser.. With the Cali T though the insurance insisted on it so had no choice

I don't use the pre-installed tracker - way too expensive. I had a Gobal Telemetrics tracker fitted and pay £16.99 a month. They do better deals for long term and a one off price for as long as you own the car which works out so much cheaper if you keep if for a few years.
