If can’t be that straightforward, but on the face of it seems simples - but only if you have loads of money already

Step 1 - Buy a property in Denmark for cash
Step 2 - take out a mortgage in Denmark for house improvements. Secure this on the property in Denmark
Step 3 - buy some gold (this step is optional and there to please Wattie! )
Step 4 - sell the gold in England and put the proceeds to whatever use you have for them...
I'm having trouble with step 1...

Anyone know a contractor mortgage broker??
Don't know how good they are for contractors, but http://www.pms-uk.org/ did a good job for me when I was in Japan (and had been there for a number of years) and was buying a house back in the UK. They mainly deal with people in professional partnerships (law / accountancy / etc.) but that does mean they are used to people who have incomes paid outside PAYE.

A good suggestion.
Non standard mortgage cases are looked on more favourably by expat/international mortgage lenders so hopefully the 2 suggested will give you a result.

Germany just sold a new 30 year bund at a negative yield...... mental
Shows the faith in Eu banks eh! Germany’s bond yields over all years are negative- prople are payng Germany to hold their cash!!!!!
Good to see some are tuning in.
Trump is talking about introducing 50 and 100 year bonds........may as well make it 500 or 1000 year.

The financial system is broken.

Ps negative yields destroy banks,
ummm Europe’s banks ain’t that strong.

So if someone had 10k to invest...what should they be putting it in? Assuming it’s too late to jump on the crypto/gold rush...

My answers obvious and I’ve made a fair amount in crypto too (search ethereum and wattie)! Here.
You’re not too late.

Share tip EUZ, massively undervalued, $2.3Bn of Zinc, Lead, Silver and more precious metals in the Toral mine (N Spain) and it has a market cap of only £4mn, massive rerate coming and big stakeholders accumulating. Very very much a big chance of a multi-bag here.

Answered above mate but like any share tip only invest what you are willing to lose.

Just read this thread... so our 'knows' are just about making money. Rather sad really or maybe it's just me.

I can vouch for PMS.... have used Dave Hannet, Jerry McInerny and Amy Parkin for various remortgages over the last 5 years (and yes, I’m a Partner in a partnership, so am technically self-employed, etc...)
