Even at just over 3k, this is overpriced IMO. Too much to fix and very little to scrap, shame another heading to motorway in sky. :(

Perhaps it needs to go on the Hpi register , it needs a head gasket
They don’t get a cat applied as far as I’m aware unless they’re a write off?? Anything that requires engine repairs doesn’t go on hpi, unless the engine damage was inflicted by an RTA, flood or fire, as far as I know. Happy to be corrected. There was another thread on this the other day, loads of cars don’t get cat’d EVEN when they’re an insurance write off.

No it hasn’t now and whilst this may have been a nice car back in the day, I think it’s potentially too far gone now to bring this back upto the standard it once was.

I’m no expert on breaking viability but I’d say it’s certainly not viable to get roadworthy even if it was free. It’s a 100k mile early car requiring a full restoration. Run away.

Only a breaker car and too expensive for that now.
You’d spend more on fixing it than what it’s worth.

It was a tongue in cheek reply Dickie , being a little pedantic this morning , seemed to produce the expected response LOL

Just to add a little perspective , if this was a Cat B car ( ie breaker only ) it would be lucky in this market to make £500 at any of the salvage dealers

I’d be fine paying that for it, given that Boomerangs and grille are worth £1500 alone.

£500 you say? That’s only about the price the two con rods.

At that price I’d buy as many as I could find.

Don't think it was a members car. As you said, buying for the number, it would need an MOT to be transferable.
