I'm in the market for a Red 3200 GT manual ASSETTO CORSA. I've admired these beauties for a while and now the time is right for me to commit to a purchase. Obviously I'm chasing a fairly rare car so my question to the forum is does anyone know where there is a good one that might be for sale?

I only know of a Red auto for sale at the moment. You will no doubt have seen it.

You are correct a manual in Red will be hard to find.. Here is a link to the Register which I kept updated when I owned No60, a Black manual.

Good luck with your search.

With rare beasts such as we have, you have to compromise. I've no heated seats and despite the fact I've had cars with heated seats and don't like them, I'm naffed off I don't have heated seats...

Thanks for the link to the register allandwf. I did see the one on eBay but i had my heart set on a manual. I done a trawl of all the usual places and being an optimist I though a request on here might flush out one not currently advertised. Fingers crossed!

I understand, but don't underestimate the auto. I drove both prior to getting mine, if doing a lot of town driving then the auto suits it better and it's no slouch, but if not... Manual all the way for me, as I think it suits the nature of the AC better, and will probably hold a premium.

It might take you a while to find one and I echo the comments above, but would add that it might be worth considering an auto; they are less prone to endfloat issues than manuals, and I believe the availability of 3200 clutches is now an issue. It has also been said that twin turbos coupled with an auto box is a marriage made in heaven.

An auto might throw up one or two more cars although you're still looking at a very tiny market, and even more so for a particular colour.

Just to whet your appetite, this was my manual (it's now in Oz).

Pool of twelve - that's a small pond to fish in!
Roughly, 75 RHD UK cars, in Silver, Black, and Red. Then split between Manual and Auto. I can't remember the exact splits, but it puts the search in perspective. I shall keep my ear to the ground.

One less in a pool of about 12 cars!

And one less again:

#22/75 was Rosso Mondiale. It was a Cat C that was repaired with a body kit added, and it was resprayed in a Ferrari colour (Rosso Fuoco). Some time along the way it was offered for sale in France.

Yes I had enquired about the highish miler and requested a few extra pictures but i've not heard back yet and I think the car may have been sold or withdrawn as the adverts for it have disappeared.

Just don't use it enough.
See my avatar for a picture of it.

I had heated seats put into my QPV a couple of years ago (and just now into a Volvo C70) for about £400. They just strip the seats and put in heating pads; works really well.

Mine is a 2005. Cream interior. Not definately for sale yet as I am unsure. My wife won't drive this one of our cars so it becomes a talking point every time it goes in for service!

Possibly your only chance for a long time.
Stelios is selling his RHD red AC. The car is in Cypress but it is a UK car. No 44/75. His ad. is on Facebook, Maserati 3200 group, but I've mentioned here.
