WANTED Michelin Pilot Sport 4 S 255/35/R20 K1

Hi all,

Unfortunately a bolt has found its way into a front tyre on the Stradale after getting Pilot Sport 4 S all round a few months back. I am told it is too near the sidewall to be repaired.

Having huge issues trying to find a replacement to match the tyres - Michelin Pilot Sport 4 S 255/35/R20 - K1 Fitment

As a long shot if anyone happens to have a spare they do not need and are willing to sell please do let me know!

Go to blackcircles, who are Michelin main agents who own ATS I think. Got my PS4's in a couple of days. But I wasn't fussed about whether P24S4PS as long as PS4 rears

The rears are readily available but the fronts seem harder to come by
They are launching the PS5 in the Stradale sizes next year, so maybe they are not manufacturing the PS4S in large numbers any more?

They do not do k1 or any manufacturer fronts any longer. Only standard ps4s I was told by Michelin.

I got my fronts from ATS online in June. Selected depot struggled to find them and had ro get from 2 locations. They were cheaper than blackcircles bizarrely.

Thanks. That matches my experience of ringing around, K1’s no longer in production. Imagine there is one out there on a shelf somewhere, but very hard to track down!

looks likely il end up fitting ‘standard’ to the front which is no issue, but then I am working on the basis on that scenario of having to replace both fronts to avoid one being a k1 and one being a standard on the same axle…..

I got some fronts too from an independent. Turned out that they weren't 'generic' but Volvo. That accompanied by having to glue my teeth in at 70mph may account for me feeling pi$$Ed off

I had a booking with Blackcircles for PS4S for the fronts for today only to get an email on Friday saying they didn't have any in stock and didn't know when they would. The PS4 seems readily available but is W rated rather than Y. Whilst not ideal is there an issue with fitting W rated on the fronts - I have got PS4S on the back.

Alternatively, is there another Y rated tyre that others have experienced and would recommend?

I have booked two fronts with ATS Euromaster, I am told non specific manufacture fitment but will be checking Saturday morning before they are fitted! They are listed as 255/35/R20 97Y - Michelin Pilot sport 4 S.

Promotion on currently so £370. Sounds like it’s worth you giving them a try?

Good luck with the hunt - I have had so many problems trying to source PS4S's through ATS you honestly would not believe it..

It has taken me months but I have finally had some fitted in OE size; they couldn't source any 255/295 tyres anywhere, and Michelin have no expected supply date.

You may well be aware, but as I understand it the PS5’s are a replacement for the PS4’s not the PS4S.

They are Y rated and the right size so I'm sure it will be fine.

I had a nightmare getting those, took several attempts with various companies who all happily accepted my money first and when it came to delivery day they said there was an issue of some sort... In the end Kwik Fit found some MO spec tyres but that was a few weeks ago.

So this is a lie - they kept my car for a day and kept saying they were waiting for the delivery van and ended up saying that they only had Pilot Sport 4 for the fronts and Mercedes Spec 4S for the rear. As things stand having Goodyear Eagle F1s fitted all around.
