Hi all

On the lookout for a strad, ideally less than 30k miles and not been a track car.. all colours considered bar white!
2 seater preferred but would be happy with a 4. There are a couple for sale that I’ve enquired on but haven’t materialised due to several factors found during due diligence.
Cheers

Good luck with your search. Have you seen a "white" one? it actually looks a rich cream colour IMHO and goes rather well with the smokey glass and red calipers. Well, I would say that.

Don't let a few track days put you off either, the thing these cars hate most is not been driven at all, or babied, or driven without any understanding of their quite special workings. A few track days a year would indicate an enthusiastic and (probably) sympathetic owner.

^^what Azapa says. And to especially echo the white comment. It suits them. That said, if you find a blue or a red one, just get it bought!

Appreciate the comments but don’t want a tracked car (if it can be avoided) nor white, never liked white cars, never will.
There are a couple white for sale at the moment and I’ve seen one in the flesh with the MC decals.
My favourite that’s for sale at the moment is red but the mileage is creeping (for me)

If you go for a 2 seat version, black and white are virtually your only options. I’ve never seen a red one. There’s one in Victory Blue, that was for sale a few months back. The other blue one was written off. So it’s slim pickings on the colour front.
They are way too big and heavy to be a track car, and they are not really bought for that. So other than the press car, I’d not think the track issue to be a problem when looking to source one.
There‘s a much wider choice if you go for the 4 seat version, as they were made for longer and they sold three times as many. I’d imagine the 4 seaters are even less likely to have been tracked.

There's an immaculate one for sale in Kent which although 'technically' is white, it's Bianco Fuji which just looks awesome in the flesh!

Hi,

I'm on the hunt for a Stadale as well and saw the one in Kent this morning on Autotrader. It appears to have disappeared now.

Do you recall who the dealer was?

Thanks

It was for sale with Jack Henry Group. Looks like it’s sold now.

Why would "track day use" exclude a car from the list when they are so scarce? Any car can be abused on road or track. And the definition of abuse is very much a matter of personal understanding. Many who frequent this place have never visited the red line of their car, while others push the limit as per the intended use.
Each to their own of course, but only a new car buyer will tick every box.

Indeed, I have taken my Stradale and my GTS before it on track. Not to rag the nuts off them, but to be able to drive at a decent speed without having to look for cameras, police cars and idiots in the wrong lanes. A great day out and with my fairly cautious driving, it's hardly stretching the car beyond what it's capable of!

And most Maserati owners wouldn’t know how (or want) to get anywhere close to the edge of their car’s ability even on a track. I suspect that finding a Strad that’s been driven over enthusiastically on a track would be a lot harder than finding one that hasn’t.
That said, I’ve absolutely no idea what the first owner of my Strad did with it. All I know is that it was a lady called Elizabeth who lived in Harrogate. Was she a track goddess?! I’ve no idea. But what I do know, is that the car is spot on.

Unless your the first owner from new your probably never going to know for sure if the car has been tracked or not.

Unless a picture crops up of the car on a track then its information not likely to be passed on to prospective buyers further down the ownership list.

We have a Giallo/Yellow two seat Strad at Sportsitalia but like most 2 seater Strad owners it’s not for sale.

John Nemeth has a silver two seat Strad but again, not for sale.

I have a white 2 seater Strad and Zep a black one and again both not for sale.

I know Tom has a white 2 seater Strad and again not for sale.

So any 2 seater Strad for sale is a rare thing so when they come up I wouldn’t be too fussy on colour or argue the price, just grab it, you could always have it wrapped.

4 seaters seem to change hands more often and there are a lot more about.

I've seen a red two-seater at a main dealer (remember them?) when they first came out. Wonderful looking thing. The now-bolloxed blue one was stunning. Andy will remember which blue it was, but it wasn't too in-your-face. Gorgeous. Real shame.

Here's the two seater blue one, what a shame.
I bought a few bits from it though, so every cloud ...
