I must admit I think it's the one a member on here mentioned to me a while ago and I was a bit either way, but since then I've grown to like the colour a lot more and have softened a lot on my need for a black interior. But realistically the price it's going to sell for the buyer's premium is likely to be another grand on top. They aren't daft these auction houses.

I am really kicking myself the first car I saw was black with cream leather and I liked it, it was just quite tatty for the price, but I'd be enjoying it now if I'd bought it.

Its a bit Marmite....!

If the leather were black, you might do something with it...
Never seen one in that "factory colour" and assumed it was Fiat Coupe "Sprint Blue" (which I really like) from thumbnail picture.

Many big ticket items recently touched which should be good news; "throttle body, potentiometer, clutch and the ABS module"
Is it really a genuine 3200 ? "no electrical faults or dashboard warning lights." ;)

It is sad. At the price it was I would have been perfectly prepared to give it a chance. Worse still, some of the cars I've been offered are almost certainly better breakers than that one which I reckon just needed some time and money throwing at it. By the same token, I really didn't want silver and I know I'd have got that one right then sold it to buy another one in black or similar or possibly had a change and moved away from the 3200 again. Which really isn't what I want to achieve from this, I want a car that's going to join my other cars I have no intention to ever sell, and daft as it is colours important to achieve that.

The car will be fixed, it’s far too good to break up.
It just needs a tidy up really.

What a stunning colour. Absolutely gorgeous. Ad says it’s a factory colour. May well be identical to the Fiat blue. Certainly looks similar.

I know where there is a grey manual that needs some TLC.

And yours is an AC too Rob!!! Sacrilege mate... Has to be sorted soon before it goes beyond saving.... I've pulled a few out from a slumber so not impossible.

Tell me more!
60 odd K miles, Grigio Alfieri, rescued it a few years ago and sold it to a mate and he simply doesn't use it much these days... in fact he's done about 1k miles in it in the last 4 years so not been used much. Needs a good service and probably bit of paintwork here and there but a strong motor with contactless TB and was looked after by Mike Roberts before I bought it.

Spec...
The car is a 2001 (some prefer the more sorted later cars) manual (again I've owned both and prefer the raw more driver focused manual Getrag box) with 62k miles in Alfieri with Ivorio leather (stunning condition with the rear seats looking like they have never been sat in).

The car was a demonstrator for Meridien Modena in Lyndhurst date of first registration 31/1/2001.

History as follows

15/2/2001 @ 1012 miles (Free service) Meridien Modena
07/8/2001 @ 6284 miles Meridien Modena
07/3/2002 @ 18642 miles Meridien Modena
14/8/2003 @ 24718 miles (cambelt change) Meridien Modena
28/1/2005 @ 36028 miles Meridien Modena
17/3/2006 @48699 miles Meridien Modena
29/6/2007 @ 54130 miles Maserati Shed
20/4/2011 @ 58128 (cambelt) Maserati Shed
21/8/2012 @ 62266 Maserati Shed

The car lacks history for the later years and this is where it declined. The previous owner unfortunately chose to neglect it but this is where we came in and renewed the Brakes, tyres, control arm etc... the car will be priced to sell and as you say will benefit from further improvements. It is probably due a cambelt change so that would be the next thing on the list and a good tidy up of the engine bay ( stove enamel or powder coat the plenum and cam covers etc...).

The car has the important throttle body upgrade done by Mike Roberts
