Please stop !!! I certainly don’t need you guys to edge me on
I’m bad enough on my own
So did someone mention H pipe :p:p
H or X. Like some kind of weird religion, both have their supporters and detractors around these parts. Neither is bad, neither will set you back more than £250.

I think @conaero at SportsItalia might be doing these now, not sure. Someone will be along shortly to make a more informed suggestion.

In lieu of lowering springs, subtle spacers will help fill those wheels arches. I think on mine I had 20mm rears and 15mm fronts. There's a thread called spaced out with pictures.

edit: 17 and 15. Here you go: https://www.sportsmaserati.com/index.php?threads/spaced-out.18091/

Spacers are a must as it is the only thing Maserati got wrong with the looks ….The stance. Although the space between the tyres and wheel arch a 4x4 would be proud of so yes I would go on Bebs recommendation of 25mm lower as well.

Lots will say X pip but so think the GT sounds great straight out of the factory. It is one of the great things about them.

  1. Yellow calipers
  2. Rear lowering springs (25 mm)
  3. SM CarPlay system
  4. Stindig Alu paddles
  5. Stindig Alu rest pedal
  6. Uprated door speakers
  7. Zep’s larger diameter brake disc & pad upgrade
  8. Braided brake hoses
Plus the three above - think that’s it…

Dropping the rear by 25 mm gives the same tyre to arch gap front and back. The OEM rear gap is twice that of the front.

How does that affect ride composure and handling? I assume the specifications of the lowering springs are different to the OEM setup?

I hate the arch gap at the rear, but I’ve discounted lowering springs as I already have clearance issues on the front.

I haven’t noticed any difference. AV engineering adjusted the camber to 2.5 rear & 1.5 front.
Manufactured by Faulkner using the spec of the OEM spring as guidance. Spring rate is 325lbs as per the part number. Drop at 25mm isn’t drastic when you consider the H&R equivalent is 35mm with no reported issues with the bump stops. Lowering the rear does not affect the ground clearance as the front is already at pretty much the same height.
Makes the GT look right in my opinion.

Thank you for the description. Do you have any issues with rubbing if you have people in the back?

No issues, drove to France in June with people in the back and crammed full with luggage and belongings, it sat down perhaps another 10 mm on that occasion but absolutely no issues.
The spring rate takes into account the drop.
