Evening all,

Following a slight 'altercation' with a rock left in the middle of the road (!) I'm doing some adjustments/fettling to my exhaust system including removing some dents/bends from my x pipe. While it is off it seemed an ideal opportunity to try an H pipe in its place if anyone had one lying around gathering dust? Not that I mind the x pipe at all but just curious....

Evo, I’ve got a ‘shocker’ that came to me from Spartacus it is pure pigeon sh1t welding but holds gas.

No cost for the part, either cover postage or we can use the SM grapevine courier service.

When you are done with it keep it on the forum.

Oh shiny but a bit beyond my current budget (saving for new suspension being one!) so will leave this to Dean sadly. All the best,

Olly

I am just waiting for Larini to give me a discounted price on their decat sections and H pipe new direct from Larini. Their new H pipe is £553.08 without any discount so not sure a used one with no warranty would make sense for me at the moment. I will report back though when they offer me the price.

Remember that the Larini website prices are plus VAT and delivery unless of course you can reclaim the VAT, otherwise you are looking at over £100 extra

I have a standard mid section if you need it to keep you mobile.

Thanks for the offer - I still have my original so okay to keep going . In fact the x-pipe is not so bad - just fancied some experimenting/tinkering while I had the chance!

The H-Pipe alone will be close to £700 with VAT and postage (around £688). I'd be surprised if they gave any discount - but unlikely to be more than 5% and that would only take the price down to around £650. I spoke to them last week to understand the difference between H and X pipe. The Larini H-pipe has a resonator built-in which I understood as it is not straight through and is not gonna be as loud as the X Pipe.
No idea about the other bits you are waiting on a price for. The guy I spoke to (Haroon) gave me all the info I needed to decide between an H and an X pipe for a Gransport. Very helpful. But the kit is very expensive for what it is - be it an X or an H pipe. He said to budget about 1.5 hours for fitting - so that is gonna be around £150 inc VAT. Add it all together for a Larini X-pipe and it comes to almost £840 or £800 if they gave you 5% discount on the cost of the H-pipe!
