Interested in any assemblies including any with broken switches and scratched surfaces as I am trying to source a replacement casting into which to place the lever itself.

You refer to the broken part as part of a casting. Is it made of metal? If so depending on the amount of room available it might be possible to do a mechanical repair. I'm interested in this because my car has a wobbly reverse lever but as I haven't looked at it yet so I've no idea exactly what's wrong.

It's not the lever that's the problem in this case. The lever is the easy bit. I think that welding would be out of the question as the parent metal wouldn't be suitable for a welded repair ( just a guess ) as it's probably made of what I know as Mazak, or something similar. This is why I'm thinking that a mechanical repair maybe more appropriate. It maybe that it's possible to machine a pair of new " legs " to replace the broken ones and bolt them on. It would depend on how much room there is either side of these " legs " when the whole thing is re assembled.

Interested in any broken assemblies including any with non-working electrics and surfaces in poor cosmetic condition, as I am trying to source a replacement casting into which the lever itself sits.

The bit I am interested in is that which I have done a crappy drawing in red below showing the piece that has broken off mine rather than the usual shearing of the gate:

It seems this is bolted to the oval fascia and so should be separable.
