Dear everyone,

As you may or may not know, this past year has been a very challenging one for me and my family.

My daughter, Nancy, had a severe relapse of her life-threatening childhood kidney disease and has undergone months of chemotherapy treatment in order to get it back under control.

Focal Segmental Glomerulosclerosis (FSGS), is currently incurable and there are thousands of people around the world suffering from it. Many of these are not as fortunate as Nancy and have already lost their battles, including New Zealand rugby legend, Jonah Lomu. Her drug, Vincristine, originates from the Madagascan periwinkle flower and Nancy is one of the very few people in the world for whom it has proven effective.
She wants to repay her medical team for the amazing care she's received and so she's organised a charity walk to raise money for research into auto-immune kidney diseases and for further research in how this amazing drug can benefit others. This work is being done at the Royal Free Hospital - where she is being treated - together with University College London. She has managed to organise around 60 people to walk 15 miles twice around Richmond Park on 30th September and naturally my wife Jane and myself will be participating.

There are many worthwhile charities but this one is naturally very close to our hearts.

Please click the link below to read more about Nancy's story. Jane and I would be incredibly grateful if you could donate to this life saving cause.
Thank you for any support you can offer

Best

Urby
