But then again - u can do whatever on (certain parts) of the autobahn in Germany, and the Police in UK can do whatever too as they are 'specially trained' so who knows and what's the difference?

Not condoning it, just surmising...

My ‘friend’ has done some bigger speeds in a variety of things - Alpina B10 Biturbo, Audi RS6 V10, 996 Turbo, Lotus Carlton, but they’re not exactly surprising.

Reaching peak revs in 45-year-old Mercedes-Benz 450 SEL 6.9 held together with gaffer tape, rust and Hope was, however.

Those Alfa 164 3.0’s were ahead of their time. My mate’s dad had one back in about 1992, will never forget hitting am indicated 150mph on the M1. Was the fastest I’d been for years until reaching the Autobahns in the late 90’s with my own cars.

Did anyone see the viral of the La Ferrari at 233mph on the autobahn mid lockdown? It gets there so quickly, I’ve got the video but don’t know how to upload it.

Chris Huhne and his ex wife Vicky Price springs to mind. They both ended up serving time for it. She tooks the points for him i think and then blabbed afterwards. Both got done for perjury.

And she was a lawyer i believe lol .........................woman scorned

Whilst travelling down to le mans one time my needle was hitting 160/165 in the Gransport , How safe did you feel ,and did you have full confidence in the car , my expeience found superb accelleration up to 120/125 and still pulling and planted nicely , at 130 the car appeared to want to take off a little , steering went a little light until 145/150 when i could distinctly feel the car start to hug the tarmac , bottled out at 165 mainly down to the missus , bless her little cotton socks

Many years ago my brother put a rod through the block of his M3 on the way to the Nurburgring the AA got him back to the UK and to the dealer.
They told him there had been a missed gear change at speed and no warranty.
Cost him a lot of money disputing it but they won.

There is no doubt that cars can remember what we were doing these days. But the good news is GDPR is our friend in this case. It’s my personal data don’t you know.
