Interesting to hear about the ECU remap. I will ask Aldous during my next service to understand what it means in terms of performance and engine reliability.

Voicey's 430 is a wonderful thing. He and it came to Le Mans a few years back, before he started AV Engineering and suddenly had no time at all, so I was lucky enough to see and hear it first-hand (or perhaps first-eye/ear). The noise it makes is just wonderful. The Challenge wheels in matt Grigio Silverstone also make it stand out very nicely.

Overall it's a bloody good reason for buying a car you really like and just doing enough to it to make it your very own and to have no reason to keep replacing it.

Which is why, when we spend a few k on our cars, it's actually very cost-effective. So much less than the alternative of buying a new one, darling.

Tempted, Jon? Be a cracking similar-era stablemate for your gorgeous GS.

Yes, very tempted indeed - and it would be a cracking combination.

I hadn’t seen one before with the full leather pack including the rear bulkhead... looks just like the leather headlining in my GS..

It's a beautiful thing. Voicey and his business partner used to do car sourcing as well and may well still do. Someone here will know. Might be worth getting him to keep good eyes open.

hey - it’s possible that Voicey would be ready to sell me his by the time I’ve persuaded my lovely wife that I get to buy a 2 seat Italian car as a companion to my GS!……

Maybe it was my **** iPhone headphones but I didn’t like the sound. Others I’ve heard have been raucous. Looks a lovely car tho. I tried trading my GS in for one but the numbers at a dealer basically meant I gave my GS away. Twice.

Edit : Jon W - go for one without a roof.....

Tell her it's part of your pension plan / investment fund / you borrowed it from a friend / you're storing it for a friend / a friend bought it then realised his wife would have conniptions so you're looking after it / you have no idea whose it is / it was abandoned so you've adopted it.

You'll be fine. Bon courage, my friend.

A 2seat Italian to go with the GS? That’ll be a Strad then!

Harvey does the car sales for Aldous now. Its all through AV.

I can also recommend Tim at Walkersport for 360/430

Had a look at how much the 430 sells for now as don't really follow Ferrari prices. What amazed me is that there are only nine 430's for sale on AT.....Yet there are 103 458's and 128 488's......Is that a reflection on how people view the 430....A keeper due to its more useable performance against the newer cars....?
