Very Cheap Strad.

This price fluctuation up and down is obviously a new sales tactic that is being employed.

I’ve seen it on three Maseratis in the past year.

I don’t know how it works but I have a theory.

You advertise it below market value and forums like ours get on to it. We are basically advertising this car for him.

Price goes up.

Also at 30k miles it’s a year away from a clutch.

£53k+£3k and your at £56k

Is this a cheap car?

Also nobody has been to see it, it could be a turd...unlikely, but it could be.

Dicky, can you shed any light on this?

I know nothing of this particular car; and I won’t speak ill of another dealer online. I would advise anyone to tread carefully as I’d be amazed if it had been ppi’d by someone knowledgable.

It's like fishing, no bites at 49, possibly put off as its cheap, so there must be something wrong mentality, put price up and cast again and maybe catch a new buyer who hadn't seen it advertised previously.

Could also be that the car had some problems that made it cheap, but put off the buyers. Not that weird that a dealer fixes these issues and then asks a higher price.

I would assume people in the market for a italian supercar dont really want to buy a car with issues.

Many dealers don't retail prep cars prior to sale now these days. Often it depends on what gets picked up and/or negotiated by the buyer.

Really? Two weeks ago you could have bought some of my shares in Quadrise Fuels for about 4p each. If you want them now, you’ll have to pay me double that. (Not that I’m selling.)

Markets are fluid and a seller can ask whatever he likes, whenever he likes. It’s not right or wrong. But I agree, in this particular Maserati example, it’s an unusual tactic!
Quadrise fuels Ewan, Worth a punt...?

Do u have a target price?

Caveat emptor obviously.

Yep, there are plenty of those about. If it's picked up later it gets done under warranty. That's why I wouldn't buy a car like this from a dealer like this. I would be calling Dicky....I know we have always said that the Stradale is cheap and will go up in price but I'm not so sure these days.....Just looking at the market and how difficult it is to sell this type of car these days I see no reason why this is going to get any better as the years roll on. Collectors and the well healed will always want the great examples but I can't see it getting any easier to sell these wonderful cars.....

I agree Andy.....times are certainly changing. Like Brexit I don't anyone really has a good idea of how it is going to change or be.

One thing is for sure....I don't see values getting stronger and things getting easier. It will either stay roughly as it is or depress. Out of those two options I personally favour one which is the latter but who knows. I am not a betting man btw......for good reason!

I’m a long term investor in this stock. The technology is great and it surely can’t be long now before the big shipping companies start using it. It’ll only take one good sized deal to see the stock jump to, say, 30p. Once that happens, everyone will notice and it will power up. (I hope).

But as with most AIM listed shares, it is risky investment, so don’t bet your house on it!

Noted, 30p from where it is now is decent.
I’ll bet the wife’s house on it ;)

Suspect just sales tactic so a potential buyer feels there is limited scope to negotiate down. “I’ve already priced as low as I can blah blah blah”.

At this rate I might be back in a maser sooner than I thought. Hopefully air-cooled pork hold up a little better!

Let me know if anyone wants me to take a look at it for them, they'r not too far from me.
I am surprised that it has not sold already at this price, I know that there is a limited market and people are maybe a little nervous currently but still ...

This is an epic example of thread drift. Congrats Ewan!

The Strad is cheap because it's white. @Zep knows what i'm talking about.
