V750

Does anyone have a v750 retention certificate and can then tell me what "note D" (section 3), on the back of the form, says in relation to changing the nominee? I have bought a plate and the vendor has added my details to section3 and sent it to the dvla. I haven't seen it at all.
I'm not convinced this is correct procedure, I think I needed to sign it and send it off.
Thanks

That's useful, many thanks. I have a copy of the front of the form and the certificate no is valid so I could transfer it on line but I don't want it on any of my current vehicles. I think when the new form comes back, hopefully to me, then the vendor won't have the new cert no so couldn't "steal" it back if they wanted to. Not likely but I always feel slightly vulnerable at this stage.

I bought a plate about 5 years ago , I've still got the V750 which has my name as the nominee , doubt I'll ever use it but I think I have to put it on a car before I can change the nominee to sell it

We had to put all our plates on retention when we moved over here and change addresses pretty sure it was a straight forward process.

No concept of private plates in Ireland you get what you get

Surprising , the DVLA must've made millions by now
