Well, it's been 4 months since I took ownership of the 222SR and I am extremely surprised to report, the car has been an absolute dream to own. I have put just on 1000kms on it during our Hot and Humid weather here in QLD Australia and the temp gauge hasn't fluctuated a 1mm during my outings.

It has started 1st time every time, even when it say idle in the garage for 4 weeks while I was overseas. The attention this little beauty captures on the road is like nothing I have ever experienced before and every time I park it, I can't help but look back and admire.

The car received a full check-up and service by a Classic Car specialist here on the Gold Coast and the report suggested the owners in Japan have been very thorough with their vehicle maintenance and restoration.

I couldn't have imagined the car would have been this much fun to own, this reliable, and this satisfying to drive.

Thanks to the entire forum for helping me gather the information to take the leap of faith on a Classic Maserati.

Great news, and what a lovely car.
The key to a pleasurable ownership experience of a classic Maserati is buying a good example in the first place. Something you have clearly done. Well played.

Its been a few months since the 222SR was traded away but I have to say, the thought of buying it back is strong!! It never skipped a single beat in my 6-8 months of ownership and I drove it a lot. It always started 1st go, always drove smoothly, and was honestly a joy to drive!!

Ohhhhh the temptation!!!
