Hi All, have not been able to find a thread on this yet so am posting to find the answer. 2002 Coupe C.C. US model new to me. I have located some electrical plugs under the hood that are not connected to anything. One is at the front corner near the oil cap, next is along fender near coolant tank, and another up by the power steering res area. See pictures for best details as seen without any trim bits. Any leads much appreciated. Great site, learning lots of details and really helped work on the car already.
Cheers

I think the plug in the first photo goes into the connector in the back of the scuttle panel which operates the bonnet (hood) open sensor

That was my thoughts too. Mind you, if it was not connected the bonnet would show open and you would not be able to select drive as its a fail safe...maybe it works the other way and was broken hence why it was unplugged.

If you plug it back in to the plunger switch, see if you get the red line on the dash to indicate bonnet open and closed.

The one by the oil filler looks like the connector for the alarm switch

Very good! I plugged it into the switch and it can tell if the hood is open or closed. I ran it with it disconnected and it did not show anything open or closed on the dash. Do we know what behavior may happen if I drove with it unplugged? The other two look similar to each other, both with 3 wires and look as if they are left and right equals. They both have a plastic tie that has been there for a while. Pics 2 and 3. Thanks guys!
