Tyres

It's about that time again - I'd previously decided to replace the Falken 452s - maybe with some vreds, or Pirellis, but I'm finding it difficult to to bite the bullet and change... over the winter months I've been increasingly impressed with the Falkens especially at the rear... my GS probably has more torque than most with the added trinkets (even if it has to carry about 120kgs with me in it :p) but the straight line grip even in cold / moist conditions is outstanding (it even feels like it might be increasng with a bit more wear )....

as a road tyre they seem pretty awesome - better than the original Pirellis unless the mind's playing tricks - even if every tyre fitter / tyre "expert" looks at me like I'm insane for going "budget" on a masser!

so what do you reckon fellas, time for a change or stick with what I got? any new / old makes worth considering?

Personally Si i think your just getting braver as your masser skils improve but i.d go for the Vreds , but stats wise the vreds have just got the edge

I'm due a new set all round and was thinking of changing from Eagle F1's to the Falkens, so good to know they appear to be a decent tyre!

I am about to change too and probably to Falkens. Needs must but they seem well bought of and not dangerously cheap. Are there any specific Falken choices or do I just order Falken 452's?

Ive had Vreds on the front front of the QP for about 18k miles, performance and wear has been great so far (plenty of tread left on the outside and middle, but worn on the inside by nature of the geo setup)

Replacing them with P Zero's only because i manged to find them cheaper than the Vreds!

Hi

I will need some new tyres on the rear of my 3200 soon too.

Previously on my Porsche 944 Turbo I had Toyo T1Rs which were excellent,
but one of the guys I know also used the Vredstein and said they were excellent.

Anyone with a 3200 used either the Vredstein of Falken 452's that can give some feedback?

Cheers

Lee

I have Vredstein ultrac sessanta's on both the Gransport and the 4200 Lee , well pleased with them, for all round performance , got a really good deal from Camskill.co.uk 6 tyres 2 sets of rears and 1 set of fronts £813 delivered excellent value and grip every bit as good as the pilots and the pzero's you wouldn't regret it in my opinion much better than the Falkens
