Under EU law, the warranty will not be impacted as long as the proper service schedule was followed and the correct parts used. It doesn't have to be carried out by a main dealer.

The reason the lambda are routinely replaced. Is they're wideband sensors, so give a lot more information than a usual narrowband and need calibrating.
There is no calibration procedure I'm aware of without sd3 so they just change them. Daft, but thsts the reason I'm aware of

Hi there.
I used to work at Maserati, Now run a workshop.
The following is replaced :

All fluids dropped from the vehicle (Coolant, Brake fluid changed, Powersteering fluid, Engine Oil) (If its an F1, The F1 gear oil gets changed too)
Oil Filter
Air Filter
Pollen Filter
BOTH Belts (Ones a stretch belt driving the water pump, the others the actual main auxillary belt) MAKE sure the stretch belt is new. These snap and the car WILL overheat.

If its a 4th year type, the additionals are
Lambda sensors
Charcoal canister (fuel vapour filter)

Just the other side of the M6 from you at Hutton, on my hols.

Good afternoon,
Thankfully last nights storm was not as bad as predicted
Unfortunately the EOBD light has come on whilst driving my granturismo & my nearest dealer or indie is about 100 miles away
Is there a resonably priced odb scanner that actually works that I can purchase on eBay or amazon
I appreciate their maybe limitations as to what the scanner can & can't do but just for my own piece of mind if I need to try & drive to the garage
Kind regards
Dean

What do you mean EOBD light? If you mean the check engine light, then any cheap OBD scanner will grab the codes. Whether they are able to be interpreted is a slightly different matter, but it's a good start
