2 seaters must at one point get more expensive than 4? Anyone know how many 4 seaters were made? (looking for a ruckus)

I asked Maserati factory the same question for the U.K. market, this what they said

2 seater UK 2011-2014: 52
4 seater Uk 2014-2016: 155

2013 Granturismo S at Dicky Grace £34,950

2011 Granturismo MC Strad on Pistonheads £59,995

2 years older and £25K more. Seems wrong to me (but I haven’t driven a Strad)

Would recommend driving one, feels a lot more special and should hold value significantly better

I’ve owned 4.2, 4.7 facelift and 4.7 MC shift 2013!

All 2 seat Strads are from 2011. They only made them for one year, and there are only 40 (approx) in the UK. This is partly what makes them so special, rare, and therefore desirable.
The GT S is very lovely, but not quite the same.

So... bringing this thread back to life.. https://www.pistonheads.com/buy/listing/12193563

Did anyone ever see this car? I am very interested but 250 miles away.. tried ringing the dealership to no answer this afternoon.
The problem with buying a 2 seat Strad is that finding a good one close-to-home is highly unlikely. The person that bought mine a couple of months ago purchased it sight unseen, from about 120 miles away. So if you are keen on getting a 2 seat Strad you’ll probably need to make a journey. But before then, hopefully the dealer with this car will collect your call and have a chat.

It's crazy that this car is still for sale. Are they really that difficult to sell?

Also, did they discontinue the bucket seats option after 2011?

Very limited market for V8’s these days. Add its a Maserati and unfortunately they are even harder to sell with an even smaller market especially if they aren’t being sold by a specialist like Richard Grace. Odd that this hasn’t sold though as the 2 seat Stradale is one of if not the most desirable Maserati of modern times.

The best thing with regards to this era of Maserati is to wait. With the resurgence which looks very promising at last, people whom can’t afford £200k on a new one will look to it’s back catalogue and thus firm prices.

With regards to Strads and more so the limited 2 seater, I have owned one for 6 years and 10k miles and regarding depreciation I am looking at £5k tops and no major issues.

Smiles and cost per mile it doesn’t get much better than that and wouldn’t have changed my decision to buy one.

Yes they are not easy to sell but if it has to be a 2 seater then your market is extremely limited.

My biggest conundrum is yes I want an MC20 and yes I could make the numbers work but it would mean selling the Strad and that for me is a massive stumbling block, I’m just too attached to the analogue, noisy old girl.
