Well the Facebook ad went live OK in the end after being reviewed.

Gees, just like busses.....I have had 3 offers to buy the car now so just trying to be fair and manage these in order. The first guy had first option earlier this week and has sold his Cerbera to fund the purchase of mine. However, he is still waiting for his sale to complete to receive the funds . I've had contact from another buyer on FB that wants the car and is a cash buyer with no car to sell. Then just had a third option in response to the PH ad this morning who has offered to buy it.

Race to the finish I guess. Nice to have a few options within 24 hours but I still have to be fair and prioritise offers and give anyone a fair opportunity. However, until the money is in my account then the car is still available I guess. Hard to balance and to be fair. It is easier if you only have one buyer sometimes!

When I put my Lotus Elise up for sale on Pistonheads, 10 years ago now when there was a frenzy with European buyers with €=£, it was sold within an hour late on Sunday night. First French buyer gave me a big PayPal deposit, then after a few more pictures the next day, bank transfered the balance.
He picked it up straight onto a trailer 2 weeks later, I had to insist he drove it onto the trailer as it was his at that point!

Private sales are always a bit tricky to manage... been trying to buy a landy for the past few months. You’d think it’d be more straightforward with a car worth <10k, but I found it utterly non sensical - without mentioning the Covid backdrop.
I feel for you Dean. But your car is superb and pristine, so that will go much easier !

Very nice car, in great condition and while im not TVR expert looks pretty good value too. Insidently, the chassis design reminds me of ducati trellis frame.

You definitely need to do something about that. That just won't do I'm afraid.

Must do better
Must do better
Must do better
Must do better

Yeah, it's a bit ****, frankly./

Now I (very nearly) have the money, there's nothing on the market that ticks my boxes. Not quite true but the most likely one is in Cardiff FFS. And then, oh what do we call it> Yes! Lockfuckingdown!

******** frankly!

Even if I had the car I can't bloody drive it anywhere interesting.

Yes a bit frustrating indeed. Keep that powder dry and ready to fire. Might need to be quick on something to pounce on when it pops up.

Yes indeedy! I'd have the one in Cardiff if this week goes well but.....
...I'd really like to drive it. There's an identical spec in St Albans, but 13k fewer miles. £3k extra......

Mmmm....tough one. One that is so much easier if you could see/drive each. I'm sure you'd make your mind up much easier then.

Good shout. Actually it's less about the two cars in question, it's more about 'Once you want a specific model, do you actually need to drive any specific example'

Maybe private sales, but trade?

I just don't know....

I know what you mean. Depends on the car I guess as some cars drive so different and some less so. I know TVR's all drive very very different. I'm sure Mitsubishi Outlander PHEV's probably all drive the same!
