Agreed. Such a rare thing and many getting bored or tired with a lot of more modern stuff so I can see.the attraction. Well I did as I bought it a couple of years ago!

The buyer had a 355 until a couple of years ago and really misses an old school raw and visceral car. This TVR does that in spades.

Well Done Dean.
Do you have your eye on anything else ????
Thanks Phil. Balance not paid or car collected yet so will wait until that is done. The buyer is offshore at the moment so should be able to collect at the weekend or early next week.

I do have some thoughts but just trying to get my ducks in a better line and organise finances to allow some wiggle room or breathing space for the world. Our new house build planning application was refused annoyingly and if we don't get permission on appeal then Plan B is much less cost effective. Appeals are being processed in 27 weeks currently so it is a pretty big kick in the knackers I really didn't need at the moment.

The Jaguar XJL SS will likely go next and then the Cayenne will go once I get a work/daily sorted. Looking for likely a Q7/SQ7/A6 Avant that seems the best option. Funnily enough a guy came to see the Chimaera yesterday who had a C7 RS6 Avant so I went for a quick drive. Amazing car but maybe just a step more than I need in everything. Couldn't fault the car or the way it drove really. Better gearbox option than the S6 Avant I drove.

Going to take my time on the sporty weekend just for fun car. Might let the market settle a bit and see if the economy starts biting a bit before committing. Of course if something comes along that is too good to pass I'll take a punt. I've always got my eyes out.

Excellent an easy sell to the right person
I agree Andy. It is off course a fringe niche car and not for the majority but if you are looking for something that this car offers it is a real bargain at the price point it sits in. Just offers a fair bit more than an MX5 or others in that area for not that much more money. Took it out for spin (not literally!) yesterday with the RS6 guy and he loved it. Out deal would have been a kind of Chimaera swap for his RS6 + cash so was/is interesting but I'm making it happen from my side really more than I would ideally want to and the other buyer was very keen as an outright purchase so made more sense.

Well the TVR was collected on Weds after we took it to Hilton Moss for a PPI. Lovely knowledgeable guys there and Hilton Moss has grown into a huge business since I last had some bodywork done there in 2004 I think! We agreed a revised price after the PPI as there were a few things I weren't aware of. I'm not greedy so wanted to work a fair deal for both sides. Nothing major was wrong at all just a few things so we found some fair middle ground.

The new owner drove from Hertfordshire to Eastbourne and encountered an epic thunderstorm so not sure that would have been much fun. he did say he had a headache after as the concentration levels were so high! Took my 3/4 day of time but worth the time spent to make sure the new owner was happy. I am sure it will be exactly what he is looking for and spot on once he gets a few things done it will be perfect.

Not much out there for that money as extreme as that if that is what you are looking for. Going to take my time now to have a long hard think about any incoming replacement. maybe look at and drive a few different options on the list. Need to get my daily A6 Avant or Q7/SQ7 sorted first and the XJL SS will make way and will be up for sale at some point.
