Hi,

The Traction control light came on the dash and won't go off, I didn't press the button, it came on under heavy braking.
it's a 2014 Ghibli.

Any ideas? picture attached

What does it say in the manual about a illuminated TC light?

What’s the A! with the arrow round it mean in the central display?

Belive it or not, it doesn't mention it in the manual in regards to staying on.

The (A!) type symbol is apparently a "start - Stop" error this came the same times as the traction light

I never had the start/stop turned on in the first place, as I only seem to drive the car in sport mode, and it doesn't function with sport mode on.

If the light is a stop start error rather than you turning off it could be the battery isn’t holding sufficient charge. No experience of Ghiblis but a battery one it’s way out can cause other spurious errors.

Getting the codes read would be the best plan.

Hi,

I don't keep it on a trickle charge, There is a few other issues with the car, so it has gone back to the dealer to sort out under warranty.

Ive just used the car and from startup both lights have gone and the car drivers are normal.

strange

I said this in another thread:

Basically when a warning light comes on that is due to driving style, it can be persistent for x amount of restarts then it will clear.

You got lucky!

Maybe the battery is on its way out if the stop start is turning itself off??

My BMW has the stop / start off symbol up if it is in sport. It’s annoying because it makes me think it’s broken!

I have a few things wrong, the Air con being one of them, only the passenger side gets cold, the drivers constantly warm.
wheel alignment is out etc etc

so the dealer can investigate all the problems (11 in total!)

There is a reboot for the AC, someone will let you know how I suspect or use the search button.

Thanks, I read a lot of people having problems with the divertor switch or something.

The dealer picked it up today so it’s in their hand s

I've had the air con issues three or four times, including when I picked the car up in the first place. Working fine on the passenger side, toasting the driver and ignoring any inputs on the driver side. I'm led to understand that this is some sort of actuator put by the time I've got it to the dealer its corrected itself.

It has always happened after being left for a while and, so far, has self corrected the next day. I've tried all sorts of things to reset it but nothing has worked other than leaving it.

I spoke to the garage today. Aircon is sorted.

The traction light was some sensor? That’s what the diagnostic tool threw out anyway, the sensor is only £6! But nobody in the UK has them as stock items so it’s a 1 week wait for it to arrive from Italy
