Track rod ends -

So here are 3 track rod ends.
The one on the left is from my 4200 ( I was changing the boot on it), the one on the right an old one from my Alfa 75 V6 and the new one in the middle is a Delphi TA 1131 for the Alfa. Same taper, same length, same thread. The original Alfa won't fit the 4200 as the thread isn't long enough but the Delphi replacement is. No groove below the thread but not sure what that does. Paid £12 for it. 69144

That’s a good find, thanks for sharing.

The ones from super performance are a reasonable price which I fitted a few years ago.

Good catch..
They are less than £7 here...

There's something counter intuitive about bolting a fi'dollar part to your Maser somehow...!!

They are currently £34.95 + VAT . Not too bad - Eurospares are a stupid price at the moment though - around £140 with the VAT

They only turn the front wheels, they don't need to be made bridge building stuff..

A couple of 1/2" rod end bearing would do the same job on a race car!

They look like they are a different dimension between the centreline of the track rod and mounting to the steering arm.

Another reason to try and buy the manufacture's standard component's , but not at Maserati prices!

Yes I would go for the ones from Super Performance if I needed any. Looks like the original manufacturer was TRW or at least that was the name on the rubber boot. Of course they don't list Maserati in their catalogue.

I should have taken a photo end on.
I did try to measure the height by pushing the various ends into the steering hub but struggled to get an exact measurement.
I guessed it depended on how far the taper went into the bush in the hub.
The rough measurements did not seem much different once in position.
Also I am no expert on suspension geometry and how if the track rod arm sat a couple of mm lower it would alter things.

I’ve got some here.
£35 for the proper TRW ones.

Those Maserati parts ones don’t look genuine to me.

I bought a superperformance track rod end for my QPV looked the exact same as the one I took off. Happy with the 35 quid price tag too
