Touch up - paint that is

Bought some red touch up paint off ebay for my lady friends Audi Q3 (no don't!)
anyway I have not done it before (this post is full of innuendo!), so any tips on how to progress.
The area of concern is where the wing mirror cowling feeds to the bodywork near the hinge for moving the mirror.
The red has gone and we are down to the under coat stuff

If it’s the plastic bit. I’d put the paint straight on with a small brush. You’ll want to build it up in a number of thin layers, allowing it to dry between coats. Depending on the touch up paint you may need a clear on top to give the gloss.

If it’s a metal bit you may need to clean any rust prior to paint.

Having managed to keep it totally innuendo free, I feel a picture of a red knob is called for.
