There is a 3200GT for sale at a dealer on the A4 in Slough for nearly £16k, also pre 2001. I'm happy to see high prices for excellent examples of the marque, although its doubtful they will sell at the advertised price.
Which updates do you mean? Skyhook? Thought that was only fitted to the AC?

In 2001 the 3200 was made OBD compliant which basically meant the Engine ECU can be read by any generic reader, where as before it was SD2/3 only.

There were also a host of updates, better brake pedal response, steering and engine management. I can't remember all of them, but 2001 onwards cars are the ones to get.

Must say I don't like the look of the 'yard' selling the car. The quality of the other cars and vans does not gel well with the Maserati.

Car actually looks quite nice, but perhaps it says something about the owner who wanted a registration on his trident that is configured to read 'M1 B1TCH'!

Too expensive, color not the best and for a 2000 car it should be about 12k.

I've made a point about this before - too many people on here are commenting on things they know nothing about, especially prices. If you want to drive Maserati prices down then you're going about it the right way. On what basis or authority are you judging a car you have never seen and are never likely to buy?

Adam, I'm not singling you out but your post is the most recent that has brought this to my attention again.

yeah but Maf, the best 3200's fetch about 14k, and they are the ones with mega low miles on and late examples or they are an AC. The car might be a great example, but judging by the pics, it looks nothing special for 14k. O.k judging a cars by pictures is wrong and i admit that and i am not the only one who does that on here, obviously i agree, you shouldn't give your full opinion until you have seen the car.

How do you know what they fetch? Unless you have some inside knowledge on every Maserati transaction then you cannot back that up. 3200 prices took a battering a couple of years ago when desperate sellers sold some of the worst/least desirable/high mileage cars at the £8k mark. Everyone then thought 3200s were worth £8k regardless - where would we be if that was allowed to continue? Openly dismissing £3k of a seller's value on a car you know absolutely nothing about is foolish at best.

I guess its the same as with anything, its only worth what someone is willing to pay for it, if the right buyer turns up and falls in love with it at first sight it may well sell at the asking price. However, if the seller is desperate to sell for whatever reason the price will drop....

What they are up for and what they go for is another matter ... Especially Maserati ....

Adam, you are missing the point. You are commenting openly and making assessments of cars that you have absolutely no knowledge of. Unless you are touring the country and inspecting the cars personally you should not place a value on them based upon ignorance and your own personal opinion. These cars are people's property and it seems that because you don't know them you are trying to wipe thousands off the value off their cars because you've done a bit of looking around on Google.

As you may notice from this and previous threads, I get incensed by comments that have no foundation and I am sure there are plenty of 3200 owners on here who will not thank you for generalising about their cars' value.
