I got into a fight at my twin brothers wedding in Cheltenham over 30 years ago when his so called mates trashed his car by filling it full of leaves this time of year.
It's on his VHS wedding video :)
I just saw red so best I don't go on Top Gear.

some “mates“ of mine sprayed just married down the side of my car in shaving foam back in the 80s , under street lights you could still read it a year after

Me too. I’m just annoyed it was so rubbish that I wasted an hour of my life. I do see why some of the shows are good fun but this one was dross.

More importantly, how’s the Lusso? I got a great offer for my FF recently and turned it down as the only place to go was Lusso and I found it too refined and nice, compared to the FF.
Love it but i have to admit i preferred the FF in many ways.
The FF is
Better looking front end
More purposeful stance
More aggressive
Louder on start up
Great value now and going up soon.
The Lusso is
More refined as you say
Better finished interior due to it being more outsourced
Faster spool up due to Header improvements
More stable at very high speed

Both the Lusso and the FF are the last of an era as the new breed of Ferraris will be Hybrid V8 2 seaters and the bl00dy awful School run bus they are launching. FF prices have already started hardening and the lusso V12 has bottomed out at around 150k. There are a few old press hack cars out there for less but they are well worn........i know cos I helped ware some of them:rolleyes:

Similar to my thoughts. I wasn't looking to sell but received an offer as my car is super high spec (65k options) and so he got wind of that. It's dropped about 25k in value of 2 years or so which is what I expected but they do seem to be firming a little. My issue was that the Lusso I drove seemed too quiet and refined so I'd need to spend £150k plus £10k on exhaust mods so that's going to be a chunk over my FF's value. And still it's too refined so I couldn't see the point. Current plan is to look for a Roma in a year or two once someone has lost the initial chunk. Even then, my kids are 11 and 8 so the FF is still the better option with more rear seat space and the wee TVs to keep them busy.

I'm hoping to do a Euro road trip with the family next summer, if the world allows, and i can't see anything that would do that better than the FF. It keep me happy as it's fast and fun to drive, keeps the kids happy as they have space and movies and keeps the Missus happy as the boot is big enough to take the 2 outfits she needs every day. I can't find anything that does it all so well.

And I have a Novitec and capristo exhaust so it sounds like an old F1 car.

Your FF does sound chuffing good, Athol. Be a shame to sacrifice that for something that's been muted by turbos and those particulate filter thingies.

The Bentley looked stunning, not sure I would take the saloon over the Coupe though otherwise more of the same - the Moss tribute was nice

None of the cars that were labelled as GT cars were true GT cars but ..... I actually enjoyed last night's TG.

Less puerile shite (albeit still too much for my liking) and a nice segment dedicated to Moss.

Is it wrong that I actually like the look of the McLaren GT?

Although I'm not sure I'd chuck 125k at one (cheapest on AT) even if I had 125k to chuck at a car.

I think its a bit more grown up than the wings and whistles of the other cars in their range.

It's amazing how much better it is when they are driving cars that they can't smash up. They still managed to dream up some pointless stuff to do with them but it wasn't as stupid as it usually is. Loved the Bentley, couldn't tell that the McLaren was any different from all the other McLarens (I still don't know which is which) and the Aston as an abject lesson in what interior colour not to choose.

They were right about the Ford grill on the Aston though!
