As bad as it is, its still better than having to watch Call the Midwife FFS.

Whilst I didn't see the last TG, it's impossible to disagree with that statement. In general terms, the bit that happens 9 months prior to a midwife being required is generally far more captivating.

Call the Midwife was watchable to keep the peace when it first came on but they're milking it now, there's only so many storylines based around a nuns and hard up people having babies, they ran out 3 years ago.

To be honest I think Top Gear is back to where it used to be....a great entertainment show with 3 very different presenters which weirdly works and works well. Far better than Matt Le Blanc who was a completely useless piece of .... although admittedly he did know something about cars. The chemistry works and it's well filmed, well edited..... and more importantly a bloody good laugh!
Anyway how many of you would throw yourself off a 600ft dam in a mini metro, strapped to a bungee cord, now that takes guts in my book. So whatever you think, these 2 northern lads are absolutely spot on as is Chris Harris who is a class act. Can't wait to see more of their antics.... ;)

I think Chris Harris is very good, but the other two strike me as hangers-on. The 'professional northerner' thing drives me mad, and I live a heck of a lot further north than those two.

I think a programme like Top Gear deserves to have presenters that are true petrolheads (Clarkson, Hammond and May are); I've seen no evidence that Flintoff and Paddy are. One strikes me as an alpha Male adrenalin junkie, and the other is a joker. I'm sure they're decent blokes, I have nothing against them at all, but they're no TG 'A Team' for me.

Loved last nights episode. I genuinely was crying when Paddy launches the firebird and ripped the rear diff and drivetrain apart. Best TV in a long while! I like the three of them now.

Glad they’ve moved away from the contrived **** car ‘modifications’ and deliberately crashing into one another.

The 2 on 1 bullying mentality against Harris is growing old though.
Harris is the only one who deserves to be there, you could stick any comedian and random sports person in and make the show it seems. It’s a shame they’ve chosen not to put proper petrolheads in too. What’s next, remove the cars too?

Still it’s ok, though I left Sunday’s episode on more for watching the stunning scenery in Peru than anything motoring related!

Paddy and Chris I like, still not warming to the wooden one though.

Given this or nothing, I will take this.

As bad as it is, its still better than having to watch Call the Midwife FFS.

I am really enjoying this series. they bond better than the last lot and it's taken over the aweful GrandTour for me...Clarkson and team have had their day....Paddy makes me laugh and Chris is just a proper petrol head and funny with it. His review of the Electric Porsche was brilliant....Along with his review of the McLaren Speedtail the week before.

Chris Harris is a class act, love his YouTube reviews of cars also.

Paddy McGuinness is also a true petrolhead, he did a couple of series’s of a program called ‘stars in the cars’ a few years back where he took ‘celebrities’ out in cars they’d owned in their youth/heyday. He came across as very knowledgeable on that but seems to play the joker on Top Gear.

But its no longer just a car show. It's now targeted at a wider audience rather than just us car geeks and it is good old fashioned entertainment which works.... well certainly for me anyway. It's a bit like marmite this one, ( also Grandtour), you either love em or hate em. I really like both of them for different reasons. And yes you get the chance to see some stunning parts of the world that many may not ordinarily see. So they get my vote all the way..:0037:

It’s now very much a comedy show with cars, rather than a car show with the old bit of comedy. I accept it for what it is, and it’s a good bit funnier than it used to be.

We don’t get the new Top Gear in Oz yet. I used to love the old crew, went off the Le Blancs, Evans nonsense etc and am really fairly uninterested on the new bunch given the comments here.
Shame.

I think the stunt they did when Matt Le Blanc and Ken Block (I think) did doughnuts around the Cenotaph pi55ed off a load of people, including me!

Give it a go...Its same old but they really do bond.....I am rather enjoying the new series and add the one car Chris Hartis tests each week to give car people at least something they want and tw very watchable.

I understand why it is that way to get an audience, but it's just not my thing... I'll watch it when it's got proper car review content with Chris Harris, but when they start pratting about, I have a glass of wine and browse a certain 'Sports Maserati' forum!
