I liked it. Very very far fetched though. As was Olympus Has Fallen. As will be Angel Has Fallen. Still looking forward to it.

The scene in London Has Fallen, where they are jogging in 'Washington' wasn't filmed in Washington. Ask me how I know :D

OK....How do you know.....

It's amazing. The amount of angst caused by a single punch or slap, a few years ago.
And the angst will continue. Because The Grand Tour is Top Gear with changing scenery and a big pay cheque and Top Gear is devoid of the effortless banter thanks to the sublime chemistry and jaw dropping production locations and ideas.
One of my all time favourite episodes involved them attaching a Robin Reliant to a rocket. Blasting it into the atmosphere. Then attempting to glide the Reliant back to the ground.
The first time I watched this episode, I was glued to my chair with anticipation, I giggled endlessly throughout and at the end, my jaw did drop because they came so close to making it work. Yet, if LeBlanc and Co had replicated it, I either wouldn't have watched it or fallen asleep.
Unfortunately Clarkson punched an Irish snowflake who wasn't going to let the matter rest. Auntie Beeb.... where do I begin. Suffice to say, W1A is probably closer to a documentary than satire. RIP Top Gear

that was bad, what a waste of time but I suspect I'll watch the next one just for the cars. I think Rory should have stayed, no idea why the producers moved him out !

drop Top Gear and bring back Fifth Gear - way better, Tiff, Jason and Vicki has a great show, pure petrol heads - some of my best video from them

Maserati MC Stradale

Tiff and Jason compare

Vicki - petrol heaven

Vicki - 2:20 - :)

God.....Rory...Noooooo.....He was moved on as he was awful....Did not warm to him one little bit. Loving Vikki in the Stradale......

I agree he wasn't great at the start but Rory was good in the last series.

We on the Le Mans trip all watched it last night and the consensus was that apart from CH it was utter, utter, shite.

Having worked there you are not that far off the mark. And don't even talk about 2012.....

Yes, I was speaking from experience. I inserted 'probably' as my experience was limited and many years ago. Didn't think much had changed though. 2012 was utterly brilliant, I thought.
Would you believe that there is a real PR agency called Perfect Curve. I telephoned them one day for a giggle and whoever answered was completely clueless. Or, it might've been my accent.
On a completely different subject. I'm looking for a daily run about, with a little bit of 'fizz', so I can stop using my project Rangey and get it finished and sold.
Always liked the look of Alfa 147s but never driven one. Driven most other post 80's Alfa's though. There's a cheap red 2.0 from an Alfa indy on eBay that I'm thinking of bidding on. Would you care to share your experience with your car? Does it much matter, whether its a 1.6 TS or a 2.0?

Definitely get a 2l, make sure the belts have been done. These days it should be cheap and cheap to run, really. We always liked our Alfas, but it really is getting on a bit :)

Some odd parts are no longer available. The boot release for ours is entertaining, and cannot be replaced. And there's no manual release :D

Watched it last night and I'm going to buck the trend. It is what it is .... A tired format but found myself laughing and as entertainment I enjoyed it. These three gelled far better than the last lot and I am not a fan of the cricketer or the comedian from up north so never expected to like it at all but I did. Was reading some reviews on line and they have been pretty good as well so seems like the forum is in a minority here. I agree they should maybe try and do something different instead off a remake of the Clarkson era but the problem is....what ? If it was a programme in the Fifth Gear ratings would drop even further as that's purely aimed at car fans.
