Took me a whole year to realise...

I suppose every knows the key fob button long press one? On unlock, press and hold, doors unlock, windows got down and sunroof opens. The opposite on lock. Except mine doesn't because of my long-standing dicky driver window operation....

...that there’s a plastic loop on the end of petrol cap to hook over the petrol flap when filling up! I’ve always hung it over the hook using the rubber strip - thought it was a bit short & awkward

Exactly 3 hours ago I was filling up the GTS, petrol cap dangling on the side, and wondering why my 360 has an elegant little slot for the aluminium petrol cap whilst the GTS’s looks like a male dog in heat!
I didn’t know about the follow me home stalk push, excellent tip.

Does anyone know about the cruise control operation please and could explain? My manual is in Italian and I don’t speak it. I kinda got it working today; turn the little round stalk switch to ON. Push the + lever forward to maintain current speed, push again to increase speed - and vice versa with the - lever to decrease speed. What I can’t work out is what the push button at the end of the stalk does?? Nothing seems to happen when I push it.. I thought perhaps it would instantly turn OFF cruise but pressing it didn’t appear to have any effect on anything.. help

Push button should resume cruise control at the speed you set previously after you pressed the accelerator or brake if cruise control is still switched on switched. Quite disconcerting when in Sport and it kicks itself down and accelarates madly!

I worked out the petrol cap hook on first fill up luckily!

However the two lights via fob/stalk is a great find!

Although since you need to be basically sitting in the car for the remote to work, I found this of limited value :D

C
try holding the key against your head , I found with many cars over the years stand 30m away ,nothing , press the key against the side of you head and not only is 30m possible but sometimes much more.

You do get some odd looks though :D

True, this was on Top Gear years ago - it does work.

I had my Jag X-type estate for a year before someone showed me you could open just the window in the tailgate.

Is this on the GranTurismo too? Are there any GranTurismos with sunroof? We had an Alfa GT years ago with this feature.

Many fairly modern cars (including the X-Type) have one press to unlock the driver's door, and double-press to unlock all doors. A business colleague wished he had this on his car, many years ago when we worked in St Pauls, Bristol. One night he left the office, blipped the fob (which unlocked all the doors), and got in his car. But a passing prostitute got in the passenger side at the same time. It took him quite a while (so he says) to persuade her to get out.

I'd had the mustang for a year before I found out there was a button above the rear number plate to open the boot , I'd been double pressing the key all that time

My Granturismo has this. You can turn it on and off in the settings. I've not actually tried it though.

This one doesn't work on my 2011 Granturismo
