Hi Guys,

Am I right in understanding the clutch on an MC Shift should need replacing around the 30/40k miles mark?

It could... but an SD3 will tell you how worn it is... but drive till it slips or wont engage.

It’s unlikely the clutch will be an issue on this car, given it’s done less than 7k miles. Unless it’s been driven by an idiot who lives on a hill and likes reversing up it slowly from a standstill everyday.

But looking to the future, yes, you might need a clutch at around the 40k mike mark. Or you might not.

hi ...where is stewart roden based ???

I see Allan answered you. Stewart is usually busy for ages and you might have to be patient but he's the best. Ask him for a wee look around the storage unit and his Le Mans trophy room. It's nuts. F40, F50, Enzo, Scuderia, XJR-15, Challenge Stradale, racing Ferraris, rare Porsche like 993 RS Club Sport, 964 3.6 Turbo. It's all lined up. Most of them are customer cars that he stores, it's like getting access to a secret storage room at maranello. Incredible.

An update guys. It turned out this wasn't too good to be true..........

I'm now the proud owner of a Maserati Granturismo MC Shift!!

I was going to wait until I had a nice picture of the car before posting, but it's been pi*sing it down all week, so haven't had the chance.

I'd like to say a heart felt thank you to EVERY one that helped me with this, whether it just be giving and opinion, or general advice. Some guys messaged me privately, and even shared their number so I could give a call - really, really appreciated. Honestly, I'm so grateful to a lot of you on here, it really made my decision a lot more easier. What a phenomenal community, thank you so much to everyone :)

The car is absolutely beautiful. The interior is in exceptional condition, it still smells like new inside. There is not a single spot on it and it drives exactly how it should (not my opinion, but my Dad's and Father in laws who both have a mechanical/engineering background). I will post pictures when I can get some nice ones taken, look forward to hopefully meeting you guys soon! Please let me know if there is a particular meet which a lot of the guys from here will be attending - I've looked on the Meet Up section of the forum, and most are a good 3/4 hour drive from me, so I'll have to be selective over which I could go to.
