Dean, mines been through 5 mate. It’s the type of car people buy for a year then sell.

It did put me off but the rest of the car was perfect so I just went for it. If the car has full history and perfect condition I don’t see the issue...but I guess I would say that wouldnt I.

Yeah, it's normal. You can find plenty of 6 or 12-month old Fezzas (especially) where the owner just habitually changes after that long. My GTS was three when I got it and I was the third owner.

Fair enough. I don't have an issue either way as long as the car & history is good as you say. Just find it weird that you would get rid of a Strad. I can get it is you moving up a level. People have too much money it seems! Maybe I'm just jealous as don't have their cash!

If anyone wants to buy my 4200 for silly money I might have a moment of madness & buy a Strad!

Matt, did you ever think about an Aston when looking at a 60k price point for the Strad?

I guess the difference often can be that you could be making cash or not losing so the sale is easier. Different to dropping 10k+ come sale time.

I am the 5th owner of my 599 with just over 11k miles in 10 years.

It's not the number of owners, it is the condition of the car and the service history. The Ferrari main dealers do not worry about the number of owners when it comes to trading in.

That Stradale in grey looks absolutely gorgeous. somebody buy it. It is a keeper.

Agree totally. Mind boggling at that price. And I love the colour personally.
RE: owners - all the main dealers told me that the average length of Ferrari ownership is 6-12 months - so that number of owners wouldnt worry me at all.
Can't understand why it hasn't sold as its not offensive in any way. Has anyone viewed it or checked through its history thoroughly?

I looked at it when it first went in, properly, looked fine in Aug/Sept, after that when I've visited I've walked straight past.

That's just them reaching their credit end of term on that car and wanting to move it on before they have to pay for it. It's still above trade price so if they risk the auctions, they could recover even less. They're trying to move it on and cut their losses.

It's nice buy no colour contrasts at all, not even the calipers. Batman's Stradale.

I was interested in this particular car a while back but different life priorities got in the way and they never came back to me with a chop in price for my C63 so I lost interest in my convoluted man maths :). I test drove it in Feb 2017 and looking back at my email comms, it was £5 short of 70k then. I'm tempted now but my concerns are that I had been stalking the vehicle for a while up to the point of test driving it and more than a year has past since then with it stuck on the forecourt... I know Redline have a good reputation and they will stick a third party warranty on it but my gut is telling me Italian cars don't like to be sat in the elements for at least 18 months without a proper run...
There was a nice one a Yorkshire vehicle solutions which I think was the owners so was obviously been driven fairly often but as people have alluded to earlier, the bonnet put me off as I questioned how it came to have the 4 seat version when it was a 2 seat strad..it did look amazing though and had a lot more carbon that the Redline one.

Just get it inspected mate, you are right that these or any cars don't like to be sat but this is not as true for the older cars like 3200/4200 etc... I'm tempted myself by this one!

I am sure you have got cars mixed up, this has only been with Redline since Aug/ Sept, Arthur eluded to it being available and then the owner px'd for a Porsche..

Just double checked my emails, reg was BX12CYJ on the one I test drove so not sure if anyone has seen the reg on this one. It was the exact same spec. Unless someone bought it and sold it back to Redline within a few months?

I just chatted with the ex owner. The car has been for sale at Redline for quite some time, and yes, it is BX12 CYJ. He finally sold it to the garage last week, in part ex for an R8. It is (apparently) in great condition, but is now due a service. And according to the DVLA it has no MOT.

But if the advertised price includes a fresh service, new MOT and a decent warranty, it looks to be a good buy.
