I'm a lover of the shadow chrome / black chrome, as if you go to a good sprayer they can layer it differently giving different shades etc.

I can recommend Wheel Genie in huntingdon. They did the below for me a few years back.
I had the backs done in black, the rims on shadow chrome and the spokes in black chrome. (this was made easier being 3 piece split rims) the finish was amazing. And as has been said, changes in the light.

You need to get the sparky back for snagging. That above the 360 I s almost having off the ceiling. Hope they didn't use red plugs to screw them up with.
He’s coming back next week and I’ll point it out! Lol
Seriously though, a few of them have small gaps, it’s the plasterer’s fault I reckon! :p

As long as you know how they are fixed. That's the important bit with expensive metal underneath.

Hi Guys,

I recently had mine refinished at Lepsons. Have used them several times in the past and have always been 100% happy with the finish, service and turn around time. No other associations apart from being a very happy customer. Not the cheapest in town, but the finish is 100% flawless!

Here are a couple of pics to give you an idea. The finish is called Black Chrome, very similar to BMWs Shadow Chrome as seen on quite a few M cars of a few years back.
You can use the calculator on the website to get a price. Lots of pics in the gallery to get an idea of colours available.

I think they achieve this finish by starting out with a black base, then layering the silver so it remains semi transparent. The more silver that's applied, the lighter they get. Clearcoat over the top to finish.
Quite hard to capture the effect in pics, but they appear deep and quite 3 dimensional without looking bling IMHO.

By the way, the trident caps have not been painted. They are originals and although they are of a different material/ finish, the match is good.

These look great, and think they would suit my Blu Med GS. Though I have yellow callipers, so red centre caps are a no no for me

Was very close to going yellow on my calipers as I think it would look great with Argento Luna. The original Titanium calipers are in good shape and it costs a fair bit to get them done really well so decided against it...... but still tempted. Black or grey tridents with yellow calipers , agreed!
