I've been watching interviews with ex cricketers that played around the '92' 93 seasons, Now I remember them playing like it was yesterday, but now I realise it was 25+ years ago! Does time go by quicker as you get older? If so, does anyone have any tips on how to slow it down a bit? I don't like it....

Definitely seems to speed up. I do find a couple of bottles of red wine slows me up significantly though ;)

When people talk about "20 years ago" I automatically think of the 1970's.
Then the reality hits, That was 1998.:eek::eek:

In 16 months it will be 20 years since everyone was crapping their pants about Y2K :eek::eek:

Some people follow pop stars and acquire a new, younger wife every 15 or so years but obviously that is expensive and could give you a cardiac event.

Personally I just ignore age and am grateful still to be alive.....and own a Maserati.

The Cylinder Head Shop in Wimbledon scaring classic car owners if they don't have their valve seats hardened they won't be able to drive them any more.

Hee Hee, all to do with how the brain stores new events in the memory banks apparently, which naturally happens a lot when you're young, getting older and everything is familiar so the brain skips over that bit, disregarding that moment of time and not entering it fully into the memory... Or so they say lol,. Maybe that's why the summer holidays seemed to last so long as a kid? I'm off to do something different for a change :D

On the basis that I seem to be forgetting more each day time should start to slow down as all experiences will be new?

I've always thought I have a Read Only Memory.

As the resident Fossil on this forum, I claim to know all about the passage of time. For the moment though it escapes me..............

A guy at work in his 50s left his wife for a woman in her early 30s , wouldn't shut up about how great it was , he left the job , saw him a few years later with a toddler and one in a pram, yeah **** that .

Princess Diana died today , 21 years ago

That can't be right, can it? She died on the eve of the first ever game at The Reebok, mind u was delayed waiting for stadium to be built so could have been...

Vs. Everton 0-0, though Taggart's header definitely crossed the line....

Her death really hit me, not cos I;m a royalist or owt like that, just she was similar age to me, made me aware of my own mortality. Rik Mayall to when he went, does affect you...

Stating the obvious but in my teens in the 70s it was not uncommon to be talking to an elderly person who was born in the 1800s, next year it will be 40 years since I left school. Nevermind 10 years more like
'And then one day you find 40 years have got behind you'
