For me it’s Lamborghini’s Countach. In later guise with a rear wing. In White.. One of the most outrageous lines ever penned...still outrageous looking today. Now where the heck did I put my Ray-ban Wayfarer’s and loafers!

There is only one for me....wibble

Replicas probably don't float your boat, but as an Elise man, this thing - based on a VX220 - has the potential for both looks and driving:

I'm another who'd tick the F40 box.
Then just work my way through a whole other list of Ferrari...
288 GTO
Daytona
512 BB
250 Cali
275 SWB
P3

If I had to move away from F-cars...

Not to repeat any previous answers and to keep it unique... I would have one of these over a Miura

Isn’t this a 250 Lusso ?

For about 15 years now I’ve known about a company producing GT40 replicas, Cav.

Strangely enough I was googling them just the other week I would love one
All time favourite is the GT40. Had/have a Scalextric model from about 50 years ago.
Seriously considered a GT40 replica. Some are good and some are rubbish but at the time I was looking the CAV cars were the best. Seem to recall being told they took moulds off genuine cars. Would need to be in Gulf colours though.
Might still get one before I fall off the perch.

I first got wind of the Cav cars years ago and I’m like you Gulf colours for me I think.

I now and then see if any used are for sale, quite rare cars. Think I actually got a price list sent to me at some point.

Once the kids are grown up I’d definitely consider one as a toy, whether or not cars like that still exist the way things are going is another question seeing as the environmental brigade is growing stronger all the time

I "KNOW" I got a price list years ago! lol
Couple of the other kits were tempting and used to be quite a few on PH for sale. Not seeing any at the moment. Car and Classic have a couple and a cost a lot more than when I was looking maybe 10 years ago. Agree about desirability in the future.

A6GCS has already gone. I've always like the Mercedes 300 SL Gullwing but lately I'm struggling with the BMW E9, especially in silver... and converted to electric.

It's interesting that we have quite an age range including a number of younger folk on the forum, yet judging by this thread it's the older stuff that seems to stir the soul, with the Horch and the Delahaye being just drop dead gorgeous. I wonder what future history will say about current car designs.

BTW, Dick Lovett currently has an F40 and a Daytona in the Swindon showroom...…...
