I suspect we may all have one? that self-indulgence, that drive we save for a sunny summers weekend morning? No passengers, just you and your car and some nice tasty tarmac?

Fabulous though the V8 sonic is, if you want some additional musical accompaniment, here's one of my current favourite groupings. This one is designed for windows down, volume to eleven and some serious head-banging Wayne's World stylee.

Insert CD and be on your way.

Chapter One - Getting to where you want to be. Nothing too heavy to begin with.

Track One . "Woke Up This Morning" by Alabama 3 from 'Exile On Coldharbor Lane"
Track Two. "The Diary Of Horace Wimp" by Electric Light Orchestra. Available all over the place, but their "Ultimate Collection" is crazily good from beginning to end.
Track Three. "Dreamer" by Supertramp from 'Crime Of The Century".
Track Four. "Mr E's Beautiful Blues (untitled) by Eels from "Daisies Of The Galaxy"

Chapter Two. Homage to Eleanor (Optional in case you're not where you need to be).

Track Five. "Stop The Rock" by Apollo 440 from "Gettin' High On Your Own Supply"
Track Six. "Low Rider" by War from "Why Can't We Be Friends"

Chapter Three. Just where you want to be. Windows down. Volume up and get ready to Rock!

Track Seven. Butterflies And Hurrcanes" by Muse from "Absolution"
Track Eight. "All My Life" by Foo Fighters from "One By One"
Track Nine. Turning On The Screw" by Queens of the Stone Age from 'Era Vulgaris"
Track Ten. "Ain't No Easy Way" by Black Rebel Motorcycle Club from "Howl"
Track Eleven. "Have Love Will Travel" by The Sonics from "Psycho Sonic"
Track Twelve. "Just" by Radiohead from the mighty "The Bends"
Track Thirteen. "Rise" by Public Image Limited from "Album"

Chapter Four. If you're anything like me you'll have scared yourself s******s with the loud pedal, so time to back off a little, head home and chill, but to keep you and your smile company...

Track Fourteen. "Big Time Sensuality" (The Fluke minimix) by Bjork. It's imperative you get the Fluke remix. I have it on "Greatest Hits"
Track Fifteen. "Poetaster" by Miracle Fortress from "Five Roses"
Track Sixteen. "Soldier Jane" by Beck from "The Information"
Track Seventeen. "Annie, Let's Not Wait" by Guillemots from "Through The Window Pane"
Track Eighteen. "Free Fallin" by Tom Petty from "Full Moon Fever"

Running time - Just short of one hour and sixteen minutes.

If anyone fancies a listen, just PM me and I'm sure we can come up with something, but it'll take me a week or so as I'm now setting off for the east coast of Scotland where on arrival I'll get on a bicycle, turn to the west, cycle until I run out of land, turn around and cycle all the way back again!

Hope you enjoy.

Very nice Myles, must admit, I had a beer fuel moment a few days ago went on iTunes and downloaded a few old tracks from my past. The one that grabbed me the most was Private Investigations by Dire Straights, awsome song, has to be loud and has be whilst driving at night.

There you go, I had my moment!
