This QP price dropping.

It is very nice indeed. However in the current market it is still a tiny market for a car like this and there are tons of similar competitive options for the same price and much much less.

It is a 10+ year old used Maserati so isn't a total nailed on bargain IMHO.

Agreed up to a point. If you want a modern Maserati, the subject car ticks a lot of boxes; it’s a 4.7, nicely presented, and seems to be highly rated by folk who know it. At £30k+ it was a non-starter, but I’ve seen good 4.7’s go for decent money this year, and imho the new asking price is not untoward. I don’t think age counts for as much as integrity which is why much older, properly maintained/restored, cars can command high prices.

Maserati is a niche brand and will always have limited appeal, but if you want a lovely looking and practical performance car you could do a lot worse for c£26k.

Think I agree......Things like this just aren't selling. It's a great well looked after car but it's GTS money and QP's over 20k just don't seem to shift..Well QP's under 20k don't seem to be either. There aren't many of the old QP's for sale over 20k these days looking at AT. Not saying this car is worth under 20 as its low miles and a great example but selling it at any price is hard. There is a 4.7 S on Auto trader for 15k at the moment....Now it probably isn't as well looked after as this one but who knows. It's the sad state of the market for these. Add the issues with sub frames, variators and buyers seem to be far and few between. Shame as they are great cars. If you are a buyer what a time to buy.....but buy to keep as can't see it getting any better.

I have been watching this one since it first appeared on this forum.
It is indeed very lovely
Still has further to fall in my opinion. People look at the bottom line first and Maserati do not have a good image from an expense point of view

Certainly lovely. I need to replace my front grill so would like views on retaining the chrome s grill or going gts version. Thoughts? I do like chrome with black so am torn between the two.

My take on QP grille is the nice mesh one. I had chrome one on my Exec GT and it suited it really well with other chrome trim. I think the black mesh ones look better on a sportier version.

I have same in my 4200 but chrome surround and black insert which looks spot on IMHO on my 4200.

Trouble with the mesh is that looking from straight on it doesn't hide the radiator behind it so detracts from the looks. I'm happy with my slats.

BP is a lovely colour and it really suits QP's, especially with the sun on it.

And yet folk don't seem concerned about 4.7 Turismos at similar or even higher prices. Although the QP isn't a sports car per se it's no slouch, and with 4 doors, space, and comfort, they're cracking cars. With the election out of the way and a degree of calm ensuing I think the markets will now firm up, and car prices with them.

Only problem is mine is the facelift so vertical chrome or black GTS as above

There is no doubt that this QP is a real stunner but to be honest it is still overpriced compared with the general market, even though it is a low mileage example. I'm also not too convinced by the colour combo but I guess that's down to personal taste. But buyers for any older QP's right now seem to be pretty well non existent. I've been offered prices as low as £12k for my QP which I have point blankly refused to accept. I would rather keep it than give it away. The market for these cars is shockingly bad just now.

100% agree....Its a great car and for me I would have out of everything in the Maseratu range....So much car for the money. But I really don't think prices have been dictated by the election but more around how the environmental impact is effecting prices.

Get the GTS grille, last time I checked the ‘S’ grille was out of stock so it has to be the GTS concave one.
Other way round with Scuderia at the moment. Got the chrome but not the GTS. Think I will go GTS if I can find one at realistic price. Must ring Ross.

I can't believe yours still hasn't gone, it's immaculate.
