Thinking of hiring a Mas for a road trip (and proposal!) in Scotland - advice?

If you want to break the drive up, Ewich House in Crianlarich is outstanding. It may not be on your route, but if you find yourself in that neck of the woods and need accommodation, don't hesitate. Their reviews on TripAdvisor say it all. Very reasonably priced.
Your intended is obviously a woman of exquisite taste, if she appreciates Granturismos. Has she got a sister? ;)

Exquisite taste indeed! That's actually a bit of an in joke of ours hehe :D, she always jokes that people in Alfas or Maseratis etc have exquisite taste because of that old clip. But she really does adore the GT, she knows I'll have to start with a 4200 but she's keen as mustard to trade up asap. Sadly no sisters! Will definitely check out that place, sounds lovely.

I hope this comes off, amazing effort Catman. Good luck finding insurance though. Last month I went through as many insurers as I could find trying to insure me on a bike that I wasn't the registered keeper of and not a single one would touch me. Even specialists like tempcover.com refused. I ended up being added as a named driver to the registered keepers insurance. Heres hoping four wheels is a bit easier than two.

Might be something to look into, ta for the head's up! Certainly would be a dream come true and completely unforgettable.

Never understood that as registered keeper is not even proof of ownership as it clearly states on the V5C!!!!

I guess at the end of the day it's because it's the main official document that ties a person to a vehicle but you're quite right and it's remarkably frustrating.

Yep ****** me right off as I was away and my old man wanted to insure our MX5 and they made him register it in his name (adding another owner) because he wanted the policy in his name! WTF!
