Thinking about a Levante GT

Hi All,

I am thinking about part exing my Dodge Challenger for a 2022/23 Levante GT as I need a 4x4 and more room for my dog and the prices are really very good.

I have found a number of 2022/2023 many with between 20-30k on the clock and many around £28-£32k

I know nothing about the 4 pot engine, what’s it like, is it a special by Maserati or have they brought it in from another manufacturer?

It would be my daily, so I need to be sure about reliability, economy and durability.

Has anyone owned one or have any experience of them?

I have not owned one but enquired about the same engine in a Ghibli few years back and was told by many mechanics that on those cars the V6 is the one to go for….im sure someone will be along with more info than this soon

I'd anticipate any 4 pot engine will be the FCA groups catalogue.
 
It’s an Alfa based engine, a former Maserati master tech told me the main issue is that they’re both slower and thirstier than the V6, many also lack the sunroof. In the end up I bought a V6 that was a year older than the GT’s, and they generally were more specced up.
