What an absolute Mess it all is.
Obvious to me the Chancellor dished out insider information that benefitted his old boss.
We certainly don't have clever politicians that's for sure.
One thing guaranteed is another period of austerity will be worse than the previous one.
Already we have people skipping meals and if they don't have warmth their health will deteriorate and the NHS will be under even more pressure.
It's reported that Nurses are leaving at a considerable rate too.
Sad times indeed.

Ken Clark the other day on R4: politicians are sometimes too clever; politics is a career for second class minds.

I think Ken had a point. We all know individuals with brains the size of a planet who could not be trusted to cross a road safely; teachers too bright to realise that lesser morals take time and effort to grasp concepts.

I ask this from across the water...what's the feeling/consensus/opinion around Brexit being the reason for the fundamental instability? Is it possible that "buyer's remorse" around the "Leave" vote is really what's causal re: public sentiment?

Trying to learn about British Politics through a Maserati Forum is like trying to eat an apple through a tennis racquet. It’s very difficult and the apple is likely to go everywhere and make a big mess.

Even the most well meaning of questions can result in issues and Brexit is like fight club, in that we don’t talk about it.

Once upon a time in our house we turned on the 9 o’clock news, watched the headlines and that was enough politics for the day. Now we’ve got it everywhere with 24 hour news channels and social media with everybody thinking a change of government will bring a utopia. Whatever colour rosette they’re wearing and gets into power after a couple of years everyone will be moaning about them.
