I’ve collected watches throughout my life/career, getting more expensive with a new job promotion raise or life celebration. About a year ago I realized I didn’t necessarily want an expensive watch after I scratched my Panerai. I realized I loved the mechanisms complications of watches. I started looking into collectible pocket watches and fell in love with Hebdomas designed watches. This is my second and a third pocket watch/wrist marriage is on its way.

That’s really nice. I like the way you can regulate the timekeeping from the front without opening the caseback. Does it keep good time?

I have a few pocket watches, nothing as special as that. This one is a GSTP issued to British soldiers in WW2. Loads around for a few quid; I had this one serviced and it runs nicely.

Not my style but I can appreciate the workmanship and that they are collectible and sought after.
Nicely done sir.

They’re all fake.
Nice watches though and they keep excellent time. Most you can even swim in.....to a depth of 50 meters apparantly, but i’ve Never tried as my armbands pop at 10.
I’m proud of my originals, but I like the variety, without the expense, of the others.
Bit ****** off too,as I had a fab gmt, ceramic dial , steel one and I can’t find it. Bugger.

Canny Scotsman, Phil.
I like nice things but not on a stupid level.....and I’m older/ wiser nowadays. I’ve only two wrists, so don’t need 10 ridiculous watches.
If you add up the cost price of those “original watches” it’d be a couple of Strads....min.

The Gold ain’t fake, muscles I’m working on again, honesty is everything - and you’ve no reason to be deflated. I’ve seen your lifestyle, humour and cars.
Respect.

Pierre, that Hebdomas is a beauty! I have always wanted one. IIRC the movement is identical to a vintage Breguet.
