I have indeed pulled the trigger. Now to explain this to the wife…

I am also looking for something more formal - something like the attached but not £25,000.
Clean, crisp, elegant. Unlike the wearer (me). Anyone got any suggestions <£500?
How about this?

Where is he based? I need my 60s Breitling serviced.
I have a very good vintage watch specialist down here in the West Country. Lovely chap. Can easily put you in touch as I’m sure he’ll be happy to repair/service your old Breitling.

Thanks, my guy in Brum has been getting older and older and has finally stopped working in his 80s.

No it isn’t, I looked there first and couldn’t find a location.

You contact him with your watch details. If he has a slot available to do your watch, he then sends the details of where to send it etc.

Thanks, I just don’t like the idea of posting it.

You can take it to LWR in Hatton Garden or Canary Wharf, or Harvey Nichols in Manchester. No idea if any of those locations are suitable.

They also do insured postage up to £35k. Send a very good packaging kit and send it back in an equally good protective travel case. But of course, not great if it's of sentimental value and goes missing

I have a Rolex master technician that I use. He is based in Worcester. Another forum member used his services when his wife’s Rolex was damaged and was very pleased with the results. He repairs all watches. Happy to pass you his details should you need them.

That’d be great, especially as I live in Worcester!
