I’m sorry but a PPL is not the same as commercial. Have you ever done an ILS in Cat3 weather with 35kt crosswinds, with 320 people dependent on your skills? If not, then I’ve done soldering to a similar level. Let’s call this a no-score draw.
I like to wear a watch while working, but they are always in danger of getting trashed. This year I plumped for an AVI-8 Hawker Hunter. Getting old meant I couldn’t see the hands, so I painted them yellow to match my callipers...View attachment 75392
We can. I was taking the pi55. We each have our skills and crosses to burn. I bit a little at your numeracy jest. But who cares. I’ll always respect those who served. Yep. I saw that level of training in the Falklands on a 1 week exercise. Outside of a hard building the RAF lads wereNo mate. Unlike soldiers, we were well trained.
That was one of the most cringeworthy bits of product placement I’ve ever seen.I have the 2006 Bond version featured in the railway scene when Vesper says “Rolex?” Bond replies “Omega” and Vesper says “Beautiful”. Very similar to your 2002 and valued at about £3.5k assuming unmarked, with box and all paperwork. Watchfinder or similar will offer about £2k if you trade it.

Arte et Marte.
LolSorry mate, I was having a bad evening and took the hook, line and sinker. As for being well trained, I once managed to hit a ‘running man‘ target, with a Hi Power, at 10 yards. Beat that!!
Some lovely watches!
Currently have a thing for 70's / early 80's digital watches, probably due to my age during those years - a time when you would struggle to give away a decent watch with a mechanical movement!
None of my watches are particularly expensive and to be honest the ones that are most important to me probably have little monetary value.
It's not about money when it comes to watches. I consider them much to be like art - they should make you happy.
And much like art, I have cheap no name watches and expensive watches.
