Finally settled on this, very modest offering, but it will do for me, two owners and never been worn.

Well I like it, I'm not a great fan of metal straps and had decided on this models new brother which hasn't been made yet, (taking orders for end of June), would have prefered a brown strap, but not really a biggie at the end of the day.

You can always get a brown strap and put the original in the box.

That’s a stunning Nav, Keepersball. Much nicer than mine, which is an annoying Heritage version that has a permanent metal strap that can’t be swapped out for a leather one. But was also a limited edition, and bought on honeymoon, so has to be a keeper.

Cheers mate I do like it - I love a heritage too and steel bracelets are much more adaptable to different occasions - formal or casual! - for me watches are at their best when you have a story with them - My all time favourite advertising slogan is “You never actually own a Patek Philippe. You merely look after it for the next generation” and I think that’s perfect - having a story to pass on along with the watch!!!

I’m not a Rolex fan boy, but I own one and love it and have to admit my all time favourite is the Daytona. I know Rolex splits opinions at times.

This is a great article on the brand and well worth a read

thanks - I enjoyed reading that.

I’ve got a 1989 Zenith Daytona, and a 197x Day Date, and love them both... I actually wish I had bought two when I bought my Daytona, as they seem to have rocketed in value
