Our group are giving up on the camping option and have gone for a Jete similar to you guys but confirming numbers is proving difficult as few want to commit still too much uncertainty

Yes, to focus on F1 with their new AM team. This is nonsense IMO, as the new F1 AM is just last years pink Mercedes with an AML badge and painted green. They were very successful in their natural environment of Sportscar racing, winning their class at LM last year as well as the GTPro and GTAm world titles. If its win on Sunday sell on Monday, that's the way to do it, not trail around mid grid and be humiliated by Mercedes, Ferrari and Red Bull in F1.

Huge field for LMP2 car this year.

Glickenhaus will be the fans favourite for the Hypercar Class though.

So it really is 59/60 all over again.

Exactly, you know your history! Look how well that turned out for David Brown with the F1 DBR4! Wyer saw the light after the '59 LM win and moved onto FAV with the GT40 after sounding out Jaguar's plans with Hawthorn. He was a master tactician, and after he proved he could beat Porsche consistently fielding a team of just 3 well used and over the hill GT 40's in the 68 and 69 seasons against over 40 new 906's and 908's used by Porsche to try to beat him in those seasons, they hired his team lock stock and barrel to run their 917 campaign sponsored by Gulf, and he won again. "Deathray" was the man!

Le Mans Classic scheduled for early July has just been cancelled and put back to its usual even years in July 2022.

Given the situation in France, there is every chance the 24H will be behind closed doors again.

Had a feeling this would happen - our group had already decided not to go - 2022 it is then!!

With a ‘proper’ lockdown just announced in France for a month I can’t see them letting spectators in this year. Even if the race is in August.
FFS!!!!!

Yeah not looking good over here especially with big numbers yesterday so lockdown from the weekend.
Going to be another messy year.
My daughter's wedding cancelled last year and at this rate I won't be able to get to it this year.

My niece was meant to get engaged in St Lucia last year. Holiday was cancelled as lockdown just started. The wedding is booked for this time (literally Good Friday) next year

Originally I was thinking of nipping over to the states to see some 'murican racing. There's a double header of NASCAR and Indycar at Indianapolis on the 14th August . Which would tick two of my bucket list boxes in one go. This plan got canned when Le Mans moved to the 21st.
Now that Biden is vaccinating the USA far better than Macron is the French, I think Plan A is back on. and I'll see you in the Welsh gite later on.
