One for Maf or you could always put it on Benny's car.

I was told yesterday that the legal tyre tread limit in France is 3mm, but a bit of online hunting suggests 1.6mm, same as here, but with 2mm recommended. Do any of you know any different?

Nevertheless, with just 4mm left on the rears, I have added 'buy a set of Michelin PS4s' to my pre-LM to do list, along with fixing a stone chip and PPF wrapping the front wings. I removed upgrading to Apple CarPlay after the quote came back in excess of £4k.

It is my understanding that the U.K. tyre regs were harmonised (their word) with the EU, so it will be 1.6 there too.

£4K for Apple car play. That’s quite impressive!

This will be my first LM trip and first trip with SM - so I am of course nervous and not just about the reliability of the car

The GTS has a new set of tyres and is due a service in May so should be in tip top shape for the trip.

With all the Italian V8’s around I won’t need any other sound track.

I will pop the TomTom in the bag though as the satnav remains worse that useless.

Mostly parts. New wiring, plugs, controllers, switches. All kinds of stuff. In fairness it also includes a substantially upgraded satnav, but still a long way off being worth it.

But it's not the destination but the journey hence why I use the car's tw@tnav...

You find the most amazing spots to turn around, ask Atholl!

Frank drove to a war on the way back two years ago. A man got out of his tank to suggest he turn around and take his Maserati away, and fast. Calais, eh!

Wayne has now confirmed for 2019 so all the gites are now booked. I will be taking a payment for half the costs at the end of Jan.

Phil696 is looking into a hotel in Laval for night 2 so he can be included in the merriment.

So the plan is still Dover/Calais out, Cherbourg/Pompey return.

I find the MasNav perfect....if you pre program all the destinations in using coordinates as it’s the search function that is pants.

Scaf, don’t fret, you will love it, we are a friendly bunch of ‘nuts’ :)

Matt’s right, we are. It’s a joyful, hilarious trip with a group of people who I’m delighted have somehow become firm friends. Even Benny, most perplexingly.

I need to dig out the phone number of that French dude with the ride-on that Krishna almost got stuck. Gary needs some more Cognac.
