Rain Man car. Always think of the 400 when I rewatch that film. Funnily enough, not the 4 x Countach.

Great news. Sounds like a straightforward repair :)
When can I get to meet this gorgeous looking car?
It doesn't get out much (other than locally in Dorset). But when the repair is complete I'll be collecting it from near Silverstone and then driving it back to Dorset, so if that route is any good to you..?

It may even be for sale soon, as I'm currently in the process of negotiating on an Aston Martin DBS, and I'm not sure I need two GT cars from the 1970's.

If I’m lucky it’s the ‘easy’ crank sensor.

If I’m unlucky it’s ‘difficult’ crank sensor.

If I’m really unlucky, it’s an new/soldered ECU (£800-£4000)

Well the GTA is the only car with aircon, and due to be going to Le Mans Classic in 19 days.

Somehow doubt that will happen now

Not heard of crank sensor problems, have certainly heard of ecu problems though! Mine went a few years ago. Hopefully it’s not that.

My Brera needed a new ECU around 120k miles, took around 4 months, went to Germany, worth it though, approaching 160k now :)

We skipped a beat too yesterday @2b1ask1 - Roary cut out and the gear box light came on. Turning the ignition off and removing the key he then started no problem and had a fun day :)
To me thats a sign , change the F1 relay now and check the hydraulic oil level , contacts either on the F1 relay ( similar to the old type points )are getting iffy , or the F1 pump contacts are getting iffy , be prepared to change the F1 pump , there was one on here for sale quite cheap not so long ago
