Saw this for sale on ebay, Imagine watching that pull up

Lets hope whoever wins it doesn't try and put anything more than a moped on it :Ds-l1600.jpg

Never been able to partake in this thread but today is the first. Sold my E55K at the weekend. First car I've sold delivered to a garage broken on a low loader!

Well spotted....the reason it was on the low loader! Not my attempt at being hip and trendy to slam it....but the Airmatic compressor decided to give up the ghost. Good timing.

Amazing still drove on the low loader OK without scraping at all. Another one arriving at the other end.

I'm sure it didn't help but was OK after. I wasn't looking to sell but after the little bump at the front and the known suspension leak I knew I needed to invest a fair bit into the car. Then a service. Probably about 4k. I had already done a deal with the insurance company on the bump so decide to sell the car cheaper and bow out before investing.

Shame really as waited a year to find a decent priced comparatively low mileage one with good history. Put a post on the MBClubUK forum about the deal and had several PM's within hours. Received a deposit from the new owner in 24 hours and the car was gone 48 hours later.

One of those deals that makes sense for seller and buyer. I am sure I'll get another E55K or definitely another AMG V8 again soon of some description.

Drove the 400 from Dorset to Silverstone this morning. The first 101 miles were fine. The last 10 were on the low loader. Oh the shame of it!08141F75-7A96-4DE7-9DD5-79CC0C5AB796.jpeg08141F75-7A96-4DE7-9DD5-79CC0C5AB796.jpeg

Hope it wasn’t serious.

The came out in force didn’t they?!

I do like a 400 or any four seat Ferrari, there’s something very classy about them that makes their other cars seem a bit spiv.

That was my dream car, Ewan during my 'wanting a cheap Fezza to impress girls faze' in the late 80's/early 90's - I'd imagine nowadays they are pretty sluggish esp in auto and heavy on fuel by todays standards?

Actually I preferred the 365GT4 2+2 early version with the manual box, six tail lights and (in UK) chrome on black plates.

Eurospares have one a bit stoved in on the front, not too bad, some bit missing now but they say not for sale as a whole but I did ask anyway but never even got the knock-back email.....

Still a beauty...

You’ve missed the boat unfortunately if you want one as a cheap Fezza. For low money you’re looking at a Mondial, 360, etc, (i.e. something with only 8 cylinders). Any manual Fez with 12 cylinders and carbs is going to be well into 6 figs. In fact, judging by recent auctions, you can pay up to a quarter of a mill for a 400 now (if you want low mileage and celeb ownership), as well as a 365. Anyway, not sure what’s wrong with mine - going along the A34 quite happily, when it suddenly cut out. Coasted to halt at junction 9, on the roundabout above the M40. Which was not ideal. So, it’s now with the chaps at Silverstone, so it’ll get sorted.
