Something every Land Rover owner needs for Christmas maybe
No the P38 or L322 as I like both of those.
they're fine, its all the modern stuff thats the problem, saw yet another 23 plate defender broken down last night and waiting for recoveryNo the P38 or L322 as I like both of those.
Absolutely 100% as I've got a 4 year old Alfa Romeo Stelvio Q4 in my workshop at the minute riddled with issues.they're fine, its all the modern stuff thats the problem, saw yet another 23 plate defender broken down last night and waiting for recovery
I remember your old one had magnetic cameras that displayed on the screen, bit lower tech but similar.I have a 50 year old Landie and a spanking new Rangie. And only because they are both awesome, unbeatable, and (virtually) unbreakable.
I drove the new Rangie through a flood yesterday - road was closed, but I thought I’d give it a go..!
Anyway, as the water starts to get…interesting…the screen in the dash automatically turned to “wade mode”, giving me a live Rocky-shot overhead view, with sonar, showing me depth and the way. So although I could not see the road through the windscreen (as I was effectively driving through a lake), I could on the sonar screen, so could stay on the tarmac, not veer off into the ditch either side.
Drove through in electric mode.
Absolutely incredible tech.
Made the price seem perfectly reasonable in that one drive.
Almost.
i agree they are nice plush motors, however when this "incredible tech" throws a wobbly i assume owners are going to get shafted, heard quite a few stories of LR main stealers trying to wriggle out of warranty claimsAbsolutely incredible tech.
Will it pick up a missing manhole cover or the like?I have a 50 year old Landie and a spanking new Rangie. And only because they are both awesome, unbeatable, and (virtually) unbreakable.

now that would be impressiveWill it pick up a missing manhole cover or the like?
Any more so than any other brand? I doubt it.i agree they are nice plush motors, however when this "incredible tech" throws a wobbly i assume owners are going to get shafted, heard quite a few stories of LR main stealers trying to wriggle out of warranty claims
It’s sonar, so I’d imagine so, yes. Whether I would notice on the screen though is an entirely other matter! Will it pick up a missing manhole cover or the like?
Great tech but i can imagine a school run rangie going through 910mm of water at a ford crossing in electric mode to demonstrate that water and electrics dont mix so well. Coming as a tik tok video soon.I have a 50 year old Landie and a spanking new Rangie. And only because they are both awesome, unbeatable, and (virtually) unbreakable.

Maybe it's their ownersGiven how much tech and standard automotive parts are made by the same suppliers, I'm always surprised that some makes seem to suffer far more than others even when they run the same equipment.
From my experiences over the last few years the software needs constant updates where you need to be able to access the manufacturers information via their diagnostics.Given how much tech and standard automotive parts are made by the same suppliers, I'm always surprised that some makes seem to suffer far more than others even when they run the same equipment.
