I wonder what happens that we don't know about.Technically the owner claims of their insurance and their insurance clams for the insurance company with ultimate responsibility, so from an owners point of view it won’t make many difference.
If the insurance is agreed value, whoever is at fault if a total loss, they get the agreed value.
But if the fault is the third party, does the third party insurance just stump up what is being claimed against them?
...is there discussion we aren't paying that, its only worth X even if you have agreed a value of Y?
